1001 Albums Summary

Not a huge fan

Let me start out by saying the album as a whole is not really my taste, although I enjoyed the first song "Agnus Dei" which seemingly held me through the rest of the album. Gay Messiah also stood out but overall an uneventful album.

No 😐 I tried but.. No.

Aside from a couple of songs, this is a cozy Route 66 road trip vibe for me, or evening cozy on the patio with a drink and music. I love it 💓 And who doesn't love Layla?!? It's a great album, I enjoyed it (could take away a couple of songs) but all in all a great listen.

I know I have songs I like by Public Enemy but none is on this album. I'm missing the point - to me this is an album I could be without. Didn't enjoy it, couldn't appreciate it. I sound pessimistic but.. This is just a bunch of pointless annoyance for me.

Must be the first album by Judas Priest that I ever have listened to straight through without other music in the mix. Old school Judas for sure, and I still am unsure how big of a fan I truly am. I appreciate them in the music history and they earned that place. For me, Judas Priest has some really really really good songs, and some others that I care nothing for. In an album like this, some songs really do fall in the back as just noise when my mind wander elsewhere. As a result, I believe Judas works best in mix settings to not get uninspiring where everything sounds the same.
