Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness by The Smashing Pumpkins
Jul 04 2024

Would probably make a cracking single album. Some classic Pumpkins riffs and songs surrounded by to much self indulgent bullshit

Ten by Pearl Jam
Jul 05 2024

Probably my favourite album of all time. Greatest 4 song start to any album and plenty of other belters

Natty Dread by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Jul 06 2024

Pretty average offering from the King. First album without Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer and it shows, still coming to terms with the new dynamic. This album has nothing on some of the later releases Exodus in particular. Interesting to hear a more upbeat less polished No Woman No cry than the version that is more well known

Endtroducing..... by DJ Shadow
Jul 07 2024

Really enjoyed this. Great instrumental hip hop album. Amazing use of samples

So by Peter Gabriel
Jul 08 2024

Not for me. Beautifully produced and engineered but this style of music is the reason for the rise of Metal and grunge

Seventeen Seconds by The Cure
Jul 09 2024

Apart from The Forest which is elite pretty poor album

Damaged by Black Flag
Jul 11 2024

Fantastic debut album and captures the American punk) hard core scene perfectly. Just not my thing. Especially 40+ years later.

Aja by Steely Dan
Jul 12 2024

I don't get the hype around this at all. It's like the worst parts of rock and jazz combined. No question flawless musicianship but this is dull at best

The Velvet Underground & Nico by The Velvet Underground
Jul 14 2024

I'm glad this album apparently went on to inspire plenty of other artists. That's great, the album itself is shit

Parklife by Blur
Jul 15 2024

Never really got the 90s Britpop phenomenon. That being said Parklife the song is top shelf ( 4 stars for the single !)

The Chronic by Dr. Dre
Jul 16 2024

Living in suburbia on the other side of the world I'm definitely not the target market for the lyrics. Having said that fondly remember this one and it is full of sick beats. Probably a 3.5
