Natty Dread by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Jul 13 2024

Today I listened to a lot of albums, this is one I was surprised to like a lot… definitely stood out as someone who doesn’t listen to this genre a lot. It’s been a while since I’ve listened to an album that has made me feel so calm. All the songs are very solid with great instrumentals and vocals 8/10

The College Dropout by Kanye West
Jul 13 2024

As a huge ex-Kanye fan, I was a little hesitant to listen to this again, but the lyricism and beats are truly phenomenal. It’s crazy hearing Kanye sound so well-spoken and passionate. 9/10 (rounding up)

Seventeen Seconds by The Cure
Jul 14 2024

a really atmospheric and smooth-sounding album… makes me feel like I’m in a castle and I’m writing poetry. Favorite song was A Forest :-) 7/10 (rounding up)

I Should Coco by Supergrass
Jul 15 2024

While Supergrass is not widely considered (to my knowledge) among the “big four” Britpop bands, this album shows that they are definitely one of the best from that era. A beyond solid record. 9.5/10 favorite song: I’d like to Know

Jul 16 2024

James Brown is an incredible vocalist! It’s hard to believe this is live because it all sounds so smooth. 7/10

Exodus by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Jul 17 2024

Even though this is rated higher than Natty Dread, I couldn’t get into it as much. Still a great, worthwhile listen nonetheless 6.5/10 Favorite song: Three Little Birds

The Dreaming by Kate Bush
Jul 18 2024

Insane lyricism and eccentric vocals make this an amazingly solid record… 8/10 favorite tracks: The Dreaming & Sat in Your Lap

Rock Bottom by Robert Wyatt
Jul 19 2024

the first half of this album is otherworldly but the second half is a little underwhelming and repetitive, if it wasn’t for that it would be a strong 9/10, but with the second half, I’ll give it a 7/10.

Bat Out Of Hell by Meat Loaf
Jul 20 2024

I love how dramatic and soap opera feeling this is. I had only listened to Paradise by the Dashboard Light before so I was pleasantly surprised to hear how good the rest of the other songs were.

Blur by Blur
Jul 22 2024

This is not my all-time favorite album of Blur, but it’s still a damn good one with lots of experimental rock tracks. I kinda wish this album list had 13 instead of blur but I’m glad this one is being recognized as well (especially over TGE) . 7.5/10 favorite songs: Beetlebum & Chinese Bombs

Cheap Thrills by Big Brother & The Holding Company
Aug 10 2024

AMAZING production, but it kind of falls flat and feels repetitive in some of the slower songs. Favorite song: Combination of the Two & Ball and Chain soft 7/10

Cheerleader

Average rating: 3.91 (0.59 above global average).
