Parsley, Sage, Rosemary And Thyme
Simon & GarfunkelThese guys are not quite my tempo.
These guys are not quite my tempo.
With a voice like Mick Jagger and a sound like talking heads meets INXS you would think every song is a banger but that’s not always the case. Although it absolutely comes together here and there, especially in China Girl and Tiny Girls. Overall enjoyable listen, but save some of the experimental weirdness for CBGB and by God add more of that sexy sax.
I know it should be for me, but I just couldn’t get myself into it. A little too bizarre.
Not only is the man devilishly handsome, but I love the smiths. I knew this was for me before I even hit play. I need a pint
I get it they’re great musicians who make great music and jams, but 15-20min songs loses me sometimes. That being said, my own attention span is my fault and that’s my only complaint, these guys rock. Need an adderol.
This is prime 90’s rap. Ice T is elite. Would pay to see doc or Annette listening to this (the 9th song on the album in particular)
It’s clear why this album is called Purple Rain, the title song is far and away the best. Not really sure what i expected from Prince, but this was ok. Nothing wow’d me except for the finale, but I do love the 80’s vibe this album gives.
The floor for 90’s alt rock starts at 3 stars for me. Haven’t heard of these guys but they seem to be pioneers. A couple moments of screamo I didn’t appreciate, but overall solid album. Kinda had a Cake vibe.
Fun album. Not my fav type of music, but I can get down to it if needed.
Didn’t realize they were a Boston based group. The singer is literally from Natick. Wonder if that’s how “roadrunner” venue got its name. Would have bet my life these guys were British. These guys have the British punk rock feel I love so much, and yet they’re from the same burbs as I. Also a lot of talk about velvet underground on their bio but not sure how they’re connected. Origins aside, big fan of the album.
Get me a pint and a cigarette. The Smiths make me want to sit at a pub with my lads while I’m still thinking about her. Sad boy British punk with some big time clash roots. What’s not to love. Would give a clean 5 but all the smith albums are starting blend together.
Not for me, thanks.
