1001 Albums Summary

probably objectively a super influential album, but just didn’t do it for me. the only song i’d maybe listen to again was a day in the life. it felt sort of like i was listening to the soundtrack of a movie or play which maybe is the style for the time???

couple strong bangers on here, but didn’t change my life. would relisten to a couple songs

all along the watchtower best song on the album. voodoo child slight return is also great but because it’s SHORTER. i understand the long songs are journeys but like over 10 minutes is A LOT

tons of hits on this but not really my thing. reminded me of guitar hero

really not my thing. but pretty cool to see how influential this is on current like techno music. would not listen to any of these songs again though

yas this album was so sick. so vibey and jazzy and just fun to listen to. definitely need to relisten to pick out some favs bc they all sort of just flow together rlly nicely

ugh i tried i’m so sorry simple minds but this is just not it for me. everything sounds the same and why is the whole album 4 hours long, with different versions of the same like 6 songs. i couldn’t even make it through disc 1😔

LITERALLY ONE OF MY FAVORITE ALBUMS OF ALL TIME!! no skips at all and to end the album with luna just feels so perfect. for years i’ve wanted to include luna in my wedding. best smashing pumpkins album i think

definitely one of her better albums, has some hits on it but not really my thing
