Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath
Aug 31 2024

This album is a great example of what Black Sabbath does well, but also has some elements that I wished Black Sabbath did more of in their later albums, like the harmonica on the second track (if I remember correctly). Ozzy's vocals are not his best, but given it was their debut album, this is no surprise. Overall, I really enjoyed this album. Would recommend.

Bryter Layter by Nick Drake
Sep 01 2024

As a new listener of Nick Drake, I will definitely have to check out his other two albums. I feel this one is absolutely phenomenal, and I love how you can hear the jazz influence, especially in Poor Boy. I also think the orchestration is just beautiful with my favorite example of this probably being Sunday, with the really pleasant flute solo. It reminds me of the recorders in the start of Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin almost? I thoroughly enjoyed this album, and would recommend anyone who appreciates the finer aspects of music to give it a listen.

This album is indescribably beautiful. I feel it is Johnny Cash's best work, and it really taps into the emotions he was feeling towards the end of his life. It goes without saying that the song Hurt is one of the most touching songs of all time (even though it is a cover).

Melodrama by Lorde
Sep 05 2024

Overall, it's not my cup of tea. Its a good album, and Lorde is a very talented singer, but I just really wasn't able to really vibe with this album.

The Suburbs by Arcade Fire
Sep 06 2024

This is a solid album. I love the sound, I love the vibe, I love the songwriting, this is my definition of a solid album. Its not life-changing but I really liked it. It reminds me of stuff by The War on Drugs and Tame Impala's earlier work like Innerspeaker or Lonerism. I will be checking out more of Arcade Fire because I thoroughly enjoyed this album.

I love this album. It was my first impression of Muse and its the reason I consider myself a fan now. I love the sound, the production, and overall its just a great album. This listen was just as good as the first
