Lost In The Dream by The War On Drugs
Sep 06 2024

Oh LORD it's so boring, why are the songs so long, why are the drums the same. It's like melancholic music for the depressing scene in a netflix soap for teenagers, real head in hands because I didn't get invited to the prom vibes. The saving grace was the change in tone in the middle of most of the songs, but was this genuinely pleasing or freeing from the endless prison the songs had become.

What's Going On by Marvin Gaye

When asked if Marvin wanted to make an album denouncing the Vietnam war or make a sensual masterpiece he just had one word: "Yes" 5/5

Parklife by Blur
Sep 10 2024

I get up when I want, except today where I was rudely awakened by the ominous realization I'd have to review this album. I'll award an extra point for how irresistible doing terrible cockney impressions is after listening to the song Parklife. It's a classic album however when it comes to britpop this album doesn't stand out, some would say it's all a blur. 3/5

Sep 17 2024

The opening to all 4 parts felt like the soundtrack to a noir detective film, the scene where the young PI discovers his love interest has been snatched up by a rival, likely an Italian named something like Alfonse who has a pencil moustache

Stripped by Christina Aguilera
