Maggot Brain - Pretty cool intro, I like some of the guitar, but overall not something I'd listen to again Can You Get To That - Yeah the vocals here are not for me. Not a fan. Hit It and Quit It - I like the energy of this one, but the music really doesn't do much for me. But it's a decent groove. You And Your Folks, Me And My Folks - Similar thoughts to the last song. The energy is pretty fun, but the melodies, vocals, etc, really don't do anything for me. Super Stupid - Starting off strong, I like the opening riffs and melodies. But the vocals aren't my cup of tea. Guitar solo is pretty sick though. Probably my favorite song so far, but most likely won't save it on Spotify. Back In Our Minds - Yeah the vocals here are not for me. This one is not great. Wars Of Armageddon - Is that a baby crying? Yeah it actually is. Maybe it's the Gen Z/Millenial in me, but long ass songs don't hold my attention very well. Guitars are pretty cool but I can tell the song isn't for me and I'm only 2.5 minutes in. It didn't get any better after 2.5 minutes. There are literal fart noises at 7:30 Overall - I respect the album for what it's doing, it's just not my personal taste. Would not revisit.

Mysterons - Man if all the vocals are like this, I'm in for a long one...Not for me 1min in. I don't mind the instrumentation, but overall pretty boring. Sour Times - I don't think I'm gonna like a single song on this album. Vocals are just not for me. Instrumentation isn't interesting enough. Random thoughts: Ok so just found out Portishead is considered "trip hop" dont think i know anyone else in that genre. I can definitely see why this album was critically acclaimed, but boy is it not for me Strangers - So much of this album sounds the same. Putting me to sleep. Like do SOMETHING WITH THE VOCALS. BE INTERESTING! Sorry, just not a fan. It Could Be Sweet - Ok this one is starting off a bit different, kinda fun so far. Ope and then Beth comes in with the most uninspired vocals. The production literally sounds like elevator music now... Like I just can't imagine seeing this band live, you'd fall asleep. Not that live shows are the end all be all for judging bands, but... Wandering Star - This production kinda reminds me of a Splinter Cell soundtrack. It's just that little bass line or whatever it is. Kinda fun. Beth's vocals just aren't for me. Sorry I keep repeating that. It's A Fire - It's just not very entertaining. Nothing grabs my attention Numb - Sounds like Griselda is gonna come rap on this. Roads - This one has a lot of streams, lets see if it lives up to the hype. I like the moody intro. Ope and then Beth comes in.....fuck. Yeah I didn't like it Pedestal - I kinda like the production on this one, sounds very modern. Almost reminds me of Badbadnotgood. This might be my favorite song, but still not a big fan. Biscuit - I think the production on this album is actually pretty sweet. This is another good example. I can definitely tell that this was pretty revolutionary at the time of release. Or if not revolutionary, I can see why it was praised by critics. Seems pretty modern tbh. But Beth's vocals are not my cup of tea at all Glory Box - Ok, most streams on the album, better be good. Yeah it's gonna be more of the same. Production/instrumentation kinda cool, but not something I'd go back to. Might be Beth's best performance though Overall thoughts - You can reference my thoughts from Biscuit. I get why this was critically acclaimed, but I have no desire to listen to it again.
I'm hoping some rock and roll will allow me to finally rate something above a 2 Paint It Black - This has never been my favorite song, but it's not bad. I just hate the whole "blah blah blah paint it blaaackkk" part. Stupid Girl - Can't say I'm gonna love this one from the first minute. This sounds like a child wrote it. Like it just sounds basic and boring. (going back to this, for 1966, this was probably pretty wild. So I give it a pass) Lady Jane - So far we're off to a poor start. Not gonna like this song I just know it. I was right Under My Thumb - ok a little funky start, I dig it. I think in the context of 1966, this music was probably super sick. And for that, I can respect it. But I don't really love listening to it in 2025. The bassline is really cool on this, love the way it sounds. These sounds are just pretty repetitive so far. Doncha Bother Me - I'm gonna be disappointed in this album too...sigh...it's just not that interesting to me Think - Oh wow, another song I don't really care for. Flight 505 - Back half of the album, can it redeem itself? Probably not. I also should mention that I'm not a big fan of Mick's vocals. High And Dry - I just know I won't like this song. Fuck me. This song stinks. The drum pattern is so fucking annoying. Sorry, I'm still salty that 1001 Albums Generator has given me shit i dont likeeeee ugh im trying!!!!!!!!!!! It's Not Easy - I do regret giving a bunch of albums 2/5 though. Because I do think I like this album marginally better than the rest of the 2/5 I gave. But there's no way I'm giving this a 3/5. This song is alright, I would never choose to listen to it again though. I Am Waiting - I'm waiting for a good fucking song. Little did I know that Paint It Black would probably be my favorite song off this thing. Do not like this one. Going Home - Cmon, end it strong. (they won't). As i suspected. Another song I don't like. Overall - Super disappointing.
Hey, an album i've heard before! And I know i like it! Let's give it a re-listen. Public Service Announcement - Skit My Name Is - A fucking classic. Amazing track. Love the adlibs This will be the first album where I have a lot of songs saved. Great beat, great bars. Eminem is super charismatic and funny on this song (and the rest of the album) Guilty Conscience - Cool concept song, even though it gets a little fucked up haha. Love the trading bars with Dre. Another banger. (beat could be better) Brain Damage - Another great song. Love the varied deliveries when he plays different characters in the same song. Very effortless flow, cadence, and rhymes. Maybe the hook is a bit weak. Paul - Skit If I Had - Never been a big fan of the production on this track, but I still rock with the song as a whole. Really love how Em sounded in this era. '97 Bonnie & Clyde - Lol, you know this song. It's a "vibe" even though it's so messed up haha. Definitely not my favorite track, but still good. Instrumental is a bit basic. Bitch - Skit Role Model - One of my favorite songs off the album. Love the guitar on the instrumental, great bars, very memorable. Love how vicious he sounds on this one. Lounge - Skit My Fault - A super underrated cut imo. Really fun concept, the hook is corny sounding, but I still love it. Love the "im high too bitch, quit grabbing my t-shirt!" line Ken Kaniff - Skit Cum On Everybody - Lmao...I like this song, it's silly, but still goes hard, fun adlibs. Rock Bottom - never really liked this one. Don't care for the production/vibe of it. Just Don't Give A Fuck - Another solid track, great energy. Soap - Skit As The World Turns - Not my favorite, but definitely a good track. Funny lines, kinda bad hook. I'm Shady - I like the bass line on this beat a lot, and Eminem does his thing obviously. Bad Meets Evil - Nothing wrong with this song, but nothing amazing. I feel like Royce was really trying to be like Em on this one Still Don't Give A Fuck - Good track, good ender, nothing crazy though. Overall - Finally a good fucking album. I probably like MMLP more, but this is such a fun album. Maybe some of the production is a bit dated, but Eminem sounds so good.
Everything In Its Right Place - Cool so far, reminds me of a TeamSESH song or something haha. I'm excited to listen to this album. Always wanted to get into Radiohead. I like the sound of this so far. The fact that this came out in 2000 is super impressive. Sounds modern. The build up on this track is really cool, but i hope it actually builds to something. Kinda droning on. The glitchy vocal effects are cool though. Works as an intro track overall, but kinda boring tbh. Kid A - Title track...better be good! I like the moodiness of this album so far, but I can't say I'm loving anything so far. BUT i'm only 2 tracks in. I can't lie, both these songs kinda just sound like interlude tracks. Not wowing me so far. The National Anthem - Alright we got a nice guitar tone so far. I dig it. Yeah I feel like I'm not gonna love the vocals on this project. Idk... So far this album isn't what I thought it would be. This track really goes off the rails, which is cool in concept, but I don't really vibe with it. How to Disappear Completely - Acoustic guitar to start off, sounds nice. Can't really say I'm loving the song halfway through. It bores me. Treefingers - Ok so this IS an interlude I'm pretty sure. It's just kinda ambient noise. Nothing wrong with that. Just kinda nothing though Optimistic - I'm optimistic that I'll like this track based on the start. But halfway through, it's average. I don't mind this one at all, but nothing I would go back to In Limbo - I really wish I could get into these older bands. Especially this era. But the music just bores me unfortunately. The ending is trippy on this one. But yeah, don't care for the track. Idioteque - Kinda reminds me of listening to New Order (which I just listened to before). Kinda cool intro. But I've never been impressed with the vocals on this project, and this is no exception. Just nothing interesting for ME personally. No interesting and captivating melodies which is something I crave. Morning Bell - Just sounds like another snoozer of a song. I hate being negative with music, because I think pretty much every artist has merit and I respect things even if I don't like them, but I don't get how this album has such a choke hold on people. Motion Picture Soundtrack - I quite like the accordion sounding instrument on the beginning of this track. Pretty gorgeous. The vocals are also pairing really well. I quite like this track for the most part. Very beautiful. Untitled - Oh this is just an outro Overall - Pretty disappointed. Expected to like this a lot more, but it was just pretty boring.
Fine Time - Based on the first minute, I can't say I'm gonna vibe with this. But I do like how wild it is. The vocals just aren't my thing. 100% get the appeal of this sound though. It just sounds kinda disjointed, which isn't a bad thing, but it isn't that appealing to me. All the Way - Really like the start of this one, I like the guitar. Already liking the vocals a lot more too. I don't mind this track at all, I dig the melody of the guitars and synths. Not something I'm itching to listen to again though Love Less - Keeping up with a similar sound from the previous track, don't mind it, but the vocals on this one seem a bit flat and one note. Not vibing too much. Just a bit too boring for me. Round & Round - Holyyyyy what a shift sonically haha. Kinda sick at the start, let's see how it progresses. I kinda wish the vocals would match the energy of the instrumental. Then i think I'd enjoy it a lot more. I could see myself vibing with this out on the dance floor though Guilty Partner - I just can't see myself enjoying many of the melodies from this album, which is a big thing for me. Especially on first listens. They all just are a bit boring to me. Nothing really stands out. The vocal performance again is just kinda one note and standard, and not completely my vibe. The instrumentals are also just kinda meh on this one. Run - At this point in the album, it's just blending together. I just don't dig this sound. I kinda like the guitars, but the vocals are just not for me. I like the electric guitar coming in around 0:40 though. Mr Disco - I like the spacey instrumental. The synth melodies are cool. Vocals stink as usual (sorry). Kinda just waiting for tracks to end. So far this might be my favorite song though Vanishing Point - I'm liking the start, like the deep synth. Andddd then the vocals come in... Just not for me Dream Attack - Interesting start to this one, not too similar to anything I've heard yet. But now it's just kinda more of the same. Not my vibe. Although I do quite like the ending of this song. Cool melody with the guitar/synths or whatever Overall - Just not my vibe, the vocals are the big killer. I think if those were a bit more energetic, i could vibe with it more.
Never heard of Robert Wyatt, let's see what we got Heaps of Sheeps - Interesting start! Kinda vibing on this. I'm kinda digging the vocals, it's a nice sound with the instrumentation. I kinda dig the background vocals too. It's a nice composition. But the melodies themselves aren't wowing me. Fun track though, nothing I need to revisit though. 1001 Album Generator really has been nothing but misses for me sadly. The Duchess - I immediately like this one less. I respect the quirkiness of this album so far though. This one is just talking over abstract sounds. Not for me. Maryan - I'm not gonna like this album... Just not my style. And none of the melodies resonate with me. The instrumentation is cool though Was A Friend - Unfortunately I just want to be done listening to this. I dig how clear each instrument is though. The production value is really nice. But I dont care for the vocals. The jazz at the end is kinda fun. Free Will And Testament - zzzzzzzz September The Ninth - The first track being the most streamed should've given me an indication of where I was heading with this album. So boring. I guess I like the jazz elements. Alien - ZZZZZZZ Out Of Season - zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz (i kinda like the piano) A Sunday In Madrid - give me something Robert, please.... FUCKKKKK. My reactions make it seem like i HATE this thing, but i'm just upset because I haven't rated anything over a 2 since i started this fucking thing so I'm angry. Don't like this song. Blues In Bob Minor - Kinda fun start, Don't like his vocals though. Meh song The Whole Point Of No Return - Can we end with a bang? I doubt it. Wow that sucked Overall - Not my vibe at all...sigh
Ok I think maybe I'm gonna vibe with this. Don't let me down The Who Baba O'Riley - Oh I know this opening riff, did not realize this is what the song is called. Very cool. In 1971 I bet this was fucking crazy to hear. Oh yeah this song rips. This is a banger. Bargain - The vocals and instrumentation on this album sound so good. The guitars sound AWESOME. Roger Daltrey sounds so good. Not my favorite song, but i still love the sound of it. Would never skip it. I dig the outros on the songs so far. Love Ain't For Keeping - This band is such a vibe, I'm sure they blew people away back then. Good little track, nothing crazy My Wife - The vocals sound quite different on this, is that Roger singing? Maybe someone else? But what a vibe. This is fun. The Song Is Over - Vibe switch up, much slower. Piano is nice. Not my favorite track so far, but it's over 6 minutes long, so maybe it switches up mid song too. Oh yeah here it goes. It's pickin up. Probably my least favorite track so far, but not awful. Getting In Tune - Something about this really resonates with me. Good melody, good sound overall. I like this one, banger. Going Mobile - BEEP BEEP. Cool guitar solo. It makes me laugh when he sings "going mo-bile" haha Behind Blue Eyes - I like the vocal harmonies a lot. Bro when the guitars and drums come in...hell fuckin yeah dude. This song bangs. Won't Get Fooled Again - The END the album with this fuckin song? Whoa, hell yeah. Great song that I've heard before, can't wait to listen to it again. MEET THE NEW BOSS, SAME AS THE OLD BOSS!!! LETS FUCKIN GOOOOO DUDE. Gave me goosebumps Overall - I was not let down by this album, great effort from The Who. Would definitely listen to it again. LOVE how the guitars sound on this, and the vocals are great.
