Not my personal favourite cover of this song, but I can definitely appreciate it 7.3/10 5. I Hung My Head Again his story telling feels so natural “I felt the power of death over life, I orphaned his children, I widowed his wife” Really like this one 8/10 6. First Ever I Saw Your Face CLASSIC I love it Really love it His voice holds so much emotion 8/10 7. Personal Jesus Bit of a different flow on this one from what we’ve heard Breaks up the album nicely Not my favourite 5/10 8. In My Life Love the message Feels very reflective Don’t think I’m at the age or stage to find this relatable yet 6.8 9. Sam Hall Feels very Johnny Cash I can tell what’s his and what’s a cover anymore But great 7/10 10. Danny Boy This song moved me I think it’s an organ(?) playing, feels like a funeral 7.3/10 11. Desperado One of my all time favourite songs I actually love this cover This version feels more like an elder giving me advice It feels like wisdom Ughhhh I love it Adding it to a playlist 9/10 12. Street of Laredo This style of song is him at his strongest Two songs on one album of someone dying and giving their life story to a stranger is a choice but im not mad I like it 7.3/10 15. We’ll Meet Again Like this cover It’s so sad but slightly hopeful A bitter sweetness to it
