Really really enjoyed it. Like pink Floyd, the Doors and the Beatles had a weird 3-way baby. Moonchild was the only track to let it down
Tried to think of a scenario/location where I'd enjoy listening to this, but I couldn't. No me gusta.
Pleasantly surprised by the variety, but only really enjoyed about half of the songs. Reminds me of Muse in some way that I can't put my finger on.
Didnt have a clue what to expect but can't go wrong with 80s synth and suprise Kate Bush. Almost a 4.
One of the better muse albums. Knights of Cydonia just about lifts it to a 4.
Glorious album. If it were a couple of songs shorter (ie remove the fluff) then it would be a 5
Interesting variation for a band with such a distinctive sound; some song are brilliant whilst others make me want to skip the track altogether. I enjoyed the instrumental sections. 3.5 stars
No Bueno. Our house is the only saving grace but even that's not enough to make it a 2
Bit meh. I don't really know what else to say
I've never listened to Steely Dan before, but I absolutely loved this album. Rock meets Jazz in the perfect ratio. The title song is my favourite and I don't think 8 minutes of it is enough. What a beautiful discovery
It's okay. Felt like it dragged on a bit though
I'm probably missing something important about this album, but I don't hear anything special. Cuff me
I don't know many Beatles songs other than the well-known ones, so this was nice to listen to and discover more of their work. Enjoyed it a lot, but I probably wouldn't go back to it because I'm a basic bitch who just wants the big hits
My first 5 star album which I've listened to countless times before. I wish I had been old enough to appreciate this album when it first came out, and to think that 30 years ago this album was seen as "selling out" blows my mind. An album full of catchy power chords and a variety of themes. Having A Blast is great track, despite its dark lyrics. If you haven't seen Dookie - DEmastered on YouTube, it's definitely worth a listen!
Dry AF. Couldn't wait for it to end
I gave this a second chance over the weekend, thinking that a different scene might help me enjoy it more; it didn't. Felt like I was being dragged through an uncomfortable montage of indie films. Some upbeat stuff but still felt dreary.
"Passionate" in almost every meaning of the word
Listening to this album (a full hour of industrial techno) in one stint was quite tough. Fond nostalgia from Voodoo People, but didn't care much for the rest of it.
