Led Zeppelin IV
Led ZeppelinOf course I knew stairway to heaven already but I was not aware of the other tracks on the album. For me personally it really is a burst of energy to hear those other tracks as well. Rock And Roll sure was a fun listen.

Fails to move me one way or the other. It's fine music that I can listen to but to no particularly large enjoyment. I can't fault it nor would I recommend it. The voice doesn't do much for me nor the lyrics. I can see this being on during a road trip while my mind is otherwise occupied.
This is an album I've listened to a lot when I was in high school. I still enjoy it a lot. It's instant nostalgia and the lyrics are still very familiar. Best track for me isn't specifically the hit Californication but roadtripping
I knew The Temptations only by the song “papa was a rolling stone” but was never tempted to further explore their discography or the genre. I’m happy that this was today’s album as it finally set me to get to know the music a bit more. Feels natural for me to listen to this, very enjoyable. The vocal range and the trumpets in some songs really captivate me. Only negative for me is the stereo mix putting the backing vocals solely in my left ear consistently. 3.69*
This is one of the albums that heavily influenced my taste in music. I don't remember when I first listened to it but I know all the tracks by heart and even start humming the next one before it starts. It's Dire Straits at its best for me. Mark Knopfler and co did a stellar job on this one. Listening to the full record today I rediscovered some of the more intricate sounds that you notice when you listen attentively but you can as well just listen to it in the car on a road trip. Love this one. 5*
I was sceptical about this one. the first track seemed to confirm that but then I soldiered on and wow, this album kept getting better and growing on me. In the last track there's even a Sample of CCR that I recognised, a particular bass riff. This has been a discovery. Not an everyday listen for me so putting it at a healthy 3.42*
I've never listened to a full Michael Jackson album before so this was a fun one to get recommended on a Friday. The album starts off by pumping a well known hit into your ears and you're going. I like the upbeat tunes and the complexity of the music itself on some tracks when listening carefully. The title track has some very enticing backing vocals as well. Jackson's voice and exclamations are quite unique but they work well. Adding this to my library so it get's a solid 4*
Country isn't really my genre but I did appreciate the quality of voice and the storytelling in the music initially. However, to me there wasn't much of variation in the songs and after listening to 5 tracks I lost interest. 2*
Wow! This was a fun listen. From the first minute to the last this was an exploration journey. Some of the tracks feel like they're an album on their own. Going in the library and will listen again. Get's a solid 5*
