1001 Albums Summary

Decent first album. With some great hits, it's interesting to hear their experimentations and what everyone tries to bring to the album.

Somebody told me to smile like you mean it, as it was only a kiss, only a kiss. And then some other songs until Glamorous Indie Rock and Roll. Gotta respect the bangers, but the back-to-back anthems are tiring.

Yeah nice. This is cool. Loved all parts of Shine On You Crazy Diamond and the moody themes throughout 🙏🏻

I have a theory that the reason Bob released so many albums was so he could try and bury this one. Death by harmonica.

Most of the songs feel needy or are just straight derogative. They have a controlling/ gaslighty vibe with lots of blame game and narrow-sightedness.

It's listenable but not for me.

Proper easy listen. Was happy to chuck this on in the background and get on with some bits about the house. Hotel California is a banger of a first song and the rest were okay. A fairly nice range of chill songs but wouldn't go out my way to put the album back on.

She released an album which is more than most can ever say. She shouldn't have, but she did.

Good vibrations is the only song I enjoyed on this album, and that's because he actually changed pitch for once. Even then I skipped it towards the end just to get over this album. Didn't enjoy the high pitched singing over high pitched layers of him going 'Do-Do' all the way fucking through. Literally felt like I was trapped in a Willy Wonka Nightmare. Another old white man track to the list of 1001 boomer albums.
