Classic album, brought back memories of being 18

Time and place. I can see how it would have been super influential given the time and I can see where subsequent bands came from afterwards. But, not to my tastes now

Bit of a confusing experience - the slower, more soulful songs resonated more strongly with me.

Musically some compositionally interesting ideas, but the vocals didn’t do it for me

Lovely harmonies. And historically, really cool, influenced The Everly Brothers and Johnny Cash. Buuut I’m not a fan of country at the best of times and some of these lyrics have not aged well…

Wild album considering its age. Still enjoyable to listen to. Eclectic!

Have always been a bit of a JT enjoyer of the main hits - the production values are always great. Listening to the album in full though, I can see why it was so huge. There’s so many cool little ideas on this record, and so many good hooks!
