A Hard Day's Night by Beatles
Jan 12 2025

Never been into this one as much as I felt like I should be, one of my least favorites of theirs. Though that means it doesn’t feel quite as overplayed as the other Beatles albums do to me, which is a plus. I’m more into the harder rocking stuff on some of the other early albums, (e.g. Twist & Shout, I Saw Her Standing There, It won’t Be Long) and less of a fan of the pure bubblegum songwriting on display here. OTOH I can’t deny that it’s totally excellent bubblegum

Low-Life by New Order
Jan 13 2025

New Order at the peak of their powers. Synth-pop perfection from front to back.

Rage Against The Machine by Rage Against The Machine
Jan 14 2025

The lyrics on here are constantly occupying the space between genuinely righteous/radical and completely corny. Thankfully the music absolutely rips

Lust For Life by Iggy Pop
Jan 15 2025

A bit of a mixed bag for me where the singles are way stronger than the deep cuts

Live At The Regal by B.B. King
Jan 18 2025

Putting aside the historical significance here, this is so thoroughly not my thing

Ten by Pearl Jam
