Street Life by The Crusaders
Jan 11 2025

Street Life: 3/5. Did NOT have to be 11 minutes long. Cut it in half and it's at least an 8. Vocals fit, fairly good, instrumental is very nice, appreciate the Saxophone. My Lady: 3/5. No vocals, but could've used some of you wanted some. The instrumental was chill, but could've been better and flowed better from the beginning-ish keyboard to the saxophone and such. Rodeo Drive (High Steppin'): 3/5. Very groovy, almost somewhat Western like. The intro brought it down, and it definitely could have used some vocals. Still pretty good. Carnival of the Night: 4/5. Very much something you would hear walking by a "Live Performance" bar in New Orleans or something. Nothing much else to say. The Hustler: 3.5/5. Nothing wrong with it, just not as good as Carnival of the Night (I'm listening to this in order.) Night Faces: 4/5. Really good ending song, it's very similar to Carnival of the Night and The Hustler in terms of feel, but it overall id say I'd better, a bit faster pace, and overall I just like it more. Crusaders Album: 3.5/5. There were some mediocre, some okay, and some good. The first song was just far too long. Would at minimum be around a 4/5 if the song was cut in half. More vocals could've made it better, but also worse. I might listen to it again.

Slanted And Enchanted by Pavement
Jan 12 2025

First song is pretty good. Most of the songs were pretty mid. In the Mouth a Desert was pretty good as well. Here is definitely my favorite song, honestly 5/5 for the genre and album. Jackals, False Grails: The Lonesome Era is also pretty good. One chorus with only 12 lines, but really subtle and really good instrumental by itself, 4/5. Our singer is pretty much as close as you can get to a perfect ending to an album. I really want to give this a 4/5, but I can't because of how forgettable some of the songs are, so 3/5 is where it is.

New Wave by The Auteurs
Jan 13 2025

Pretty close to a 5/5, but it's not. Home again is, in fact, a major W of a song. The entire album is really good, no songs stick out too much, but they're all good. Definite 4/5, 5/5 if there were bangers.

Fisherman's Blues by The Waterboys
Jan 14 2025

I heard a song or two of this album. Straight ass. I am not listening to almost 2 hours of that.

A Little Deeper by Ms. Dynamite
Jan 15 2025

3/5 Wouldn't listen to it in my own free time, but it is a pretty good album.

Drunk by Thundercat
Jan 16 2025

"I wanna be a cat (meow meow, meow meow)" - A Fan's Mail I'm honestly gonna give this album a 5/5. it hits all the marks: groovy, funky, feel good, goofy, and other ones too. it just makes me feel good, as well as the music sounding amazing by itself.
