1001 Albums Summary

If you followed the Grammy’s this year you might know Doechii, who won a few awards. You can hear the influence of albums like this in her music, 90s-style rap is recently really popular. Anyway, I liked some of the songs such as fu-gee-lah and skipped “killing me softly with his song” because I find it very annoying and overplayed.

I know and like the first song, but apart from that this is an average, not that great rock album... It sounds very flat. Is it because of the production? Or because there is no bass? It feels like something is missing

Wow! I really like this one! Neil Young, only know him from the popular songs. Yeah, this is nice. Will be added to my album list :)

I was writing my critique first, but after listening a few times i started to like Holdin’ On and Feeling Free a lot. The beginning of the album is elevator/phone waiting music. Sounds like calling Deutsche Bahn and waiting to get picked up.

Although I like this type of rock from time to time, there were no particular songs that stood out to me. Everything had the same energy. It felt like one long song. At this point, just write one particularily good song, instead of a whole album of mid songs. Could not get through the album.

I love the rhythms of Beck. One of the more original artists of the 2000s. I was already familiar with this album, nice to hear it again!

underrated, did not know it but loved it.

sometimes not as cool as I expected, but every song is still good. Particularly liked Cracked Actor.
