Move - Enjoyed, nothing special to me Jeru - Remined me of old Christmas movies Moon Dreams - A little more solemn Venus De Milo - Not much to say Budo - Quite lively, nothing special Deception - Fine Godchild - Fine Boplicity - Fine Rocker - Fine Israel - Eh, fine Rouge - Fine, all starting to sound the same now Darn That Dream - SINGING!! HAZZAH!! Refreshing, very classic The live section of the album was fun. Final thoughts: while I appreciate the skill, this wasn't really my cup of tea. Found the compositions a bit repetitive and started to get bored towards the end.

Coat of Many Colors: beautiful song and intro to the album. So poignant, made me cry. Loved the gentle guitar throughout. Travelling Man: Edgier song with a bit of humour. Imagining long car journeys and the wild west. Enjoyed it. My Blue Tears: Very nostalgic tune, loved the harmonies. She is an incredible song writer. If I Lose My Mind: crying - love a song about mother daughter relationships The Mystery Of The Mystery: not a big fan of heavy religious songs, but I appreciate the message. She Never Met A Man (She Didn't Like): is the og song about pick me girls? Another sad song about Dolly chasing after a no good man who would up and leave her for another woman. STAND UP DOLLY Early Morning Breeze: Love the bass at the start of this and throughout. Nature/life appreciation. The Way I See You: Amazing love song, enjoyed the piano in this Here I Am: Felt very empowering A Better Place To Live: A very sweet finish to the album. Final thoughts: I loved this album, I love Dolly Parton. Her voice is so emotive and the nostalgic country tones forming the instrumentals on the tracks is comforting and familiar. The instrumentation leaned a little corny at times, and songs with heavy emphasis on religion sometimes make me uncomfortable. But despite this, it was a solid album I enjoyed.

Strange Brew: Very cool vibes. The guitar solo just oozing with style. Really nice bass too. Sunshine of Your Love: UGH CLASSIC. Memories of playing this song on Guitar Hero 3, always enjoyed it. Once again that guitar is so sexy, almost scratchy sound. Great drums! World of Pain: Very mellow. Dance The Night Away: Almost a melancholy feeling to it, and feels like there are Indian/Asian music influences. Blue Condition: Enjoyed this one, a bit more lowkey. Tales of Brave Ulysses: Love this one, the building up it creates is almost heroic connecting the feelings the title illicits. The instrumental breakdowns throughout getting more elaborate until the end also accentuate this. SWLABR: Interesting tone in this one. We're Going Wrong: Not a lot to say Outside Woman Blues: Not a lot to say Take it Back: A lot more bluesy, enjoyed the harmonica in this one. Mother's Lament: Silly little song, like the cockney energy. Final thoughts: Some absolute bangers in this, but also quite a few songs I wouldn't actively listen to and kind of blend into the background. I'd say I enjoyed the first half more. Favs are probably Strange Brew, Sunshine of Your Love (Obviously) and Tales of Brave Ulysses.

Didn't have time to properly review this one but I really enjoyed it. Each song provided a lot of interest for me and they varied enough that I found them all quite fresh. I liked the Latin American (?) influences.
