1001 Albums Summary

Not a huge fan of the southern sound. I'm not from America, so I don't really resonate with that culture at all. That doesn't change the fact that this album has classics on it, Free Bird being the obvious highlight. There's some really good material on here and it doesn't overstay it's welcome. A decent start to the 1001 albums list, but not a personal highlight for me.

I didn't know Brazilian Phonk, uh I mean Funk could be this good. A 70's Brazilian album did not sound appealing to me, but man this is super fun. Gives me world cup vibes, total summer feel. Genuinely such a fun listen!

Didn't do a whole lot for me. Some good instrumentals throughout, but not enough to captivate me. A little repetitive as well, but not bad.

It's fine. Some of the more prog rock inspired tracks are phenomenal, when they really dive into interesting instrumentation, but I can't help but feel like they so often went for the more mainstream approach instead of realizing their full potential.

Very experimental stuff, not sure if I really connected with this one. Theres a good chance that this might grow on me with more listens, but unfortunately with this list I'm listening just one time before scoring it.

Too long and also a little corny, but maybe I just hate happiness

What an album! Such a wide variety of songs, ranging from soft and vulnerable tracks to very catchy Indie rock tracks. He has such a good voice, fitting both styles perfectly. Reminded me a lot of Sufjan Stevens at times, I'm sure Elliott is one his biggest inspirations. This along with the Kate Bush album is my favourite so far.
