Very of a time, didn't make a huge impression though. It's just so much apart of the fabric of music it's difficult to think about it as an artistic thing
This album is weirder than I thought it would be, in a good way. Has probably my two fav police songs, King of Pain and Wrapped Around Your Finger. There just isn't really another band like The Police?
Just killer from start to finish
Charmingly earnest in places, some really "modern" sounding moments that made me realize how influential this record is. The dj mashup at this end is so great, and so is the message. There is a sample of a song called "Mt airy groove" by a Philly sigma sound group, pieces of a dream
The samples are masterful, so many amazing, classic songs. It has been a long time since I listened to the whole album all the way through and I somehow forgot how many slots there were. I didn't love them, I think because I just wanted to get to the songs. When ODB shows up, every song is better.
