Sheer Heart Attack is basically what I imagine glam rock to be. It seems to have heavily influenced stage and theatre type acts in a much more overt way than I connected previously (like SPG and Will Wood type stuff). Ultimately on Leroy Brown was for me, but not unpleasant overall. 2 Stars.

The Clash by The Clash
Apr 10 2025

Not for me. Most of the tunes sound vaguely the same, and don't express unique identity. Except the reggae tune which I was really into anyway. 1 star.

Talking Book by Stevie Wonder
Apr 11 2025

Very much enjoyed this album. Not feeling a strong variety but excellent execution on a few concepts. I particulary liked Maybe Your Baby, since I hadn't heard it before, it was like hearing Superstition again for the first time.

Highway to Hell by AC/DC
Apr 14 2025

Nothing special to say on this one. Just ok nothing stood out to me. 2 star.

Neon Bible by Arcade Fire
Apr 15 2025

Refreshing take on a punk and rock sound from a band totally new to me. The album is enjoyable and still relevant today in its message, though it did wane in charm in the back half. 3 star.

Blonde On Blonde by Bob Dylan
Apr 16 2025

Blonde on Blonde is OK. I think the more complex instrumentation actually takes away from the core of Dylan's ability -- strong story telling poetry over a guitar. Two star.

Exodus by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Apr 18 2025

OK album overall. Reggae is really one of those mono-texture genres that over time sounds mostly the same. Two star.
