Paranoid
Black SabbathI enjoyed this album a lot more than I remembered it when I listen to it years ago. I feel like this album is a good example of how an entire album can sometimes be greater than the individual song.

I think this album is fascinating. The stories of rock and roll and the history of the album almost seem incongruent with the music itself, as it seems so-- innocent?-- I don't know if that is even right. It was a fun listen. As a matter of fact, as soon as it was done, I put it on again.
I feel like this was easy. One of my all-time favorite albums. Classic to the max. Go read "Go Ahead in the Rain" right now. Do it!
I never listen to The Black Keys enough. Every time I am glad I did. I don't think this is my favorite album of theirs, but it is way up there. The way the vocals and the instrumentation hit is just... amazing. It gets me every time. The emotion that is there feels so raw and genuine, and the music just connects on a visceral level.
I forgot I love this album. There is something about it that just speaks to me. All around a fantastic listen that I love as much today as the first day I heard it.
I am finding myself unimpressed with this album. It is one that I have always wanted to listen to but never got around to. Freedom At 21 feels incomplete, like the first draft of a song that just needed some more thought and work. It isn't a terrible album, but it does fall flat for me. I don't think I would listen to this one again.
Well, there is just a lot of bias for me and this album. I don't know what to say because my perception is clouded by nostalgia. This is not my personal favorite Radiohead album, but I know it is a classic and probably their best album. It does have my favorite song on it, so there is that. I think this is probably where Radiohead finally really came together and actualized what they were good at, but before they got so popular that no one was willing to hold them back and keep them focused on the gold. I don't know. Like I said, I have complicated emotions listening to this album. Suddenly, I am back in high school, which is some of the weirdest years of my life, and I don't know if I can fully untangle the emotions of that time with the tracks. No alarms, no surprises.
What wild fever-dream is this? I have never heard this album before and can't understand why I love it so much. This is wild and magical.
Well... this album. I think this was the first R.E.M. album I listened to, and then R.E.M. became endemic to my high school experience. I can honestly say this is not my favorite R.E.M. album, despite its impact on me. Automatic for the People? Murmur? One of those two. I want to say Murmur, but if I am being honest, I probably would reach for Automatic for the People first. What I wouldn't reach for is Document. It is super interesting to me that this is their "big" album. Most of the folk I listen to music with don't rave about this album. I feel like the general experience I have amongst my friends is similar to my personal taste. Although I don't think anyone would find this album objectionable. Although it will be interesting to read each others reviews. This R.E.M. album is super R.E.M.y, but it doesn't feel like it comes together like their other albums. This sounds way too vague, but something feels like it is missing from this album. Just a gathering of grunts and greens, the cogs and grunts and hirelings, a meeting of a mean idea to hold.
Pre-Listen: I am excited to listen to this album. I have never actually sat down and really listened to it from start to finish. I know it is a classic, and I'm into finding out why. This album cost a coworker their job years ago, so I really need to hear what made it all worth it. Post-Listen: It makes sense.
One of my all-time favorites. A classic in the truest sense.
I have never heard this album before and am instantly in love with it. Maybe I am just a sucker for anything Northern Ireland Grung Rock. This totally would have been something I would have come back to over and over again in high school and feel nestolgic listening to it even though I never actually listened to it in my youth. Yet, here we are. Glad to have stumbled on this.
One of my all-time favorite albums. This is just a classic-classic in my book.
