In Rainbows by Radiohead
Apr 28 2025

We listened on Sunday 27 April 2025 while watching the Liverpool vs. Tottingham game (Liverpool clinched the Premier League championship!) Now for the music, it's not aggressive but has undertones of longing. The percussion is very dynamic. Tim has listened to this 80,000 times so I am the one reviewing. I'm sure we'll listen to it again!

Tusk by Fleetwood Mac
Apr 30 2025

It was calm, it was chill. Nothing stood out. Would be good to put on in the background. Solid middle ground. Listened on 3 May 2025 in the car/in the earbuds

Aladdin Sane by David Bowie
May 01 2025

Surprised by the number of genres covered, interesting album! The piano sounded like Elton John in one song; then the blues came on strong in another. Grace would listen again and want to explore more, Tim probably not. Listened 3 May 2025 evening.

Surrealistic Pillow by Jefferson Airplane
May 02 2025

We are not super big fans of this 60s style music. Wanted to give it a 2.5, but we can't do "half stars"... better than In Utero, worse than Aladdin Sane (#1 and #4 in our listening and this was #5).

Station To Station by David Bowie
May 03 2025

We liked this one a lot more than the last David Bowie that was on the list. Much more musically interesting and didn't even sound like what we think of when we think David Bowie. Definitely expanded our horizons!

Murmur by R.E.M.
May 04 2025

Production quality was top notch. Musically was much more interesting than other REM songs or albums I've heard in the past. For example liked it a lot more than "Green" which we have on CD because of "Orange Crush"... might have to check out the rest of the discography now! Grace listened to this one on the nightmare plane trip to Baltimore so might not be as positive experience or memory associated with this one...

Beyond Skin by Nitin Sawhney
May 05 2025

We listened on the way to Chicago for the Shakespeare theater. It improved after the first two tracks, it went on a journey from beginning to end. It was very interesting and a wide variety of musical experience. But somewhat boring at times and probably won’t put it on again.

She's So Unusual by Cyndi Lauper
May 06 2025

Classic 80’s pop music. Three hits that were obviously enjoyable and the rest was “fine”. Kind of got bored by the end.

Sea Change by Beck
May 07 2025

The first half was more interesting than the last. Very chill. Eventually all the songs sounded the same.

Colour By Numbers by Culture Club
May 08 2025

Typical 80s pop music. Very catchy, not memorable besides the hits on it.
