1001 Albums Summary

I remember getting a Johnny Cash box set of CDs, The Legend, for Christmas one year, probably around the time that Walk the Line had come out. It introduced me to him in so many more ways than I could have imagined. This listen brought back many memories of listening through that box set.

Remember so many of the songs on this album from days in middle school (?). Don't remember Rosario Dawson being featured on one of them. Overall enjoyable and nostalgic but also a bit longer than I remember, which of course makes sense being a double album.

Probably more of a 3.5, but round up to 4. Some big hits on here and also some songs that were probably first listens. Good mix, easy to listen to, all around enjoyable album.

First half better than the second, but still all around good stuff.

Wasn't sure what to expect based on some of the reviews I saw before listening. But so far one song in pretty solid. Upon further listening, I don't think I enjoyed the rest as much as that first track, but still overall a good listen.

I remember all of the controversy surrounding this album when it came out, and not being allowed to listen to it. This may be the first time listening to the album front to back, despite having probably listened to all of the songs. Production values are incredible. Also, some lyrics may not have aged great.
