The Velvet Underground & Nico by The Velvet Underground
May 07 2025

First album, and I like where this is going. The variety of styles and their performance amazed me. Several songs are prime examples of peculiar and wonderful psychedelic rock subgenre. Mostly saved calm ones to my playlist. Love the album cover, very pretty and distinguishable. Songs saved: 5/11

Parachutes by Coldplay
May 08 2025

My first coldplay album ever and even songs, didn't have to listen to them much. First thought was "now this is gonna be the most boring album listening experience". Before that put a curtain around myself and listened to only classic legendary rock groups from 60s-80s or metal stuff. I thought these are gonna be blank, indistinguishable songs with boring lyrics about love or how beautiful life is. Oh, how wrong I was. The wall around me broke more and more with each song I listened from that album, reluctantly adding songs to the "obscured" playlist. The wall around my music taste was completely destroyed by the "Yellow" song. Now I think I begin to understand what it means to be a music lover and listen to everything. Such beautiful vocals on this album, such beautiful acoustic and piano pieces. No aggressive or out-of-line songs in this album, truly a new experience for me and quite a magic one, had to listen the whole album twice to really enjoy the first half of songs after "breaking the wall". Songs saved: 6/10.

Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division
May 09 2025

Omg, english post punk. I like russian post punk. The moment I started this album I immediately understood, that this will be a blessing to my tears. Idk for sure, but me thinks that they are fathers of post punk, at least they're pretty old, so I think it's crucial for me to listen to them, and today that task is completed. Did I like it? Yes, a lot. Great everything: drums, guitar, bass, vocals. Unfortunately no song stuck in my brain, unlike from prev. two albums, even though i listened to this album 4 times today. Songs saved: 7/10

25 by Adele
May 10 2025

Ok, the first album i didn't finish, u just knew that second half of songs will be the same. What's the problem? It's the style. Main focus is on the voice. Yeah, I get that her vocals are amazing, breathtaking. But for me, nah. No melody, no nothing to remember from song except for her singing. That's why she's singing the whole song non-stop. Not a single interval for like 5 seconds to rest. Ok, Imma listen to lyrics then, if they insist on it. Every single song is about being sad/break-up. Enough! 50 minutes of utter crying. Maybe I'm not in mood or condition for her? Maybe if I'm heartbroken she'll be the savior. But, tbh, I hardly believe it. Or just it's my taste of music? I mostly listen to the melody, instruments, riffs. I start listening to lyrics only when i like the melody itself. But here, nah. Sorry Adele, but 2 stars only for vocals, they're undoubtedly great, one of the best voices of last 20 years for sure. Song saved: 0

British Steel by Judas Priest
May 11 2025

Hell yeah! Metal! Now this is what I call album. This is a blessing to my ears after Adele(sorry Adele). I am a huge fan of metal. And this album is good, real good. It sounds something between iron maiden and kiss, but differs. Drums, guitars, bass are so good in this album, especially the vocals, damn he's good at singing. I looked up and they established the metal sound, just like led zeppelin, black sabbath, deep purple etc. Songs saved: 6/10

The Band by The Band
May 12 2025

I dunno, i didn't quite understand them. Yeah, they seem cool. A mix of rock, blues, a lil bit of country. Maybe they were super influencial, but not my taste. Still better than Adele tho. Songs saved: 2/12

Paul Simon by Paul Simon
May 13 2025

What an album. One of the best acoustic albums I've heard for a long time. Great acoustic guitar playing combined with beautiful voice and we'll get this album. I liked it. Got nothing much else to say. I'm guessing he's pretty influential too and this being his debut album really shows his talent. So much better than Adele. Songs saved: 7/11(I'm not counting demos and unreleased versions)

Lazer Guided Melodies by Spiritualized
May 14 2025

The weirdest album I've heard so far, and weird doesn't mean bad. I love weird stuff. I made a mistake though, i listened to this album while preparing to exam. I want other experience with it. I feel like it has ability to make you to fall in trance. By simply listening to it's songs you may dislike it, misunderstand it, miss something. You must grasp it firmly and feel it's psychedelic affect. Sure, it has not only trip songs, some examples are "random good songs", but I think the purpose of this album is much more than random good songs. Must relisten to it 100%. Preemptively I'll give it 4/5. Songs saved so far: 4/12

Idlewild by Everything But The Girl
May 15 2025

Well, to be honest, i think it's better to know her as a one hit wonder, although the remixed version. Really, not a single catchy song in that album, almost all of them are skippable or at least one-time listen songs. They get boring. Maybe it's just me. Maybe she revolutionized music genre, maybe she has great voice(no, tbh). I didn't really like it. But, did I like it more than Adele? Hell yeah! Songs saved 0/12 :c

Franz Ferdinand by Franz Ferdinand
May 16 2025

Finally, some real good album. The last one was judas priest album. It's sound is so distinguishable, so unique, especially the drums, I just love how them. I don't really have that kind of rock songs in my playlist, like this or blur. Some fresh air. All of their songs are happy, energetic, catchy. This is one of the few albums i want to hear more than one time. I might even want to listen to their other albums or similar bands, like blur. I just looked up, they're scottish? What? I thought they were german, or austrian. In one of their songs they have german words. Anyway, they're cool. Songs saved: 7/11

Get Behind Me Satan by The White Stripes
May 17 2025

Very cool. Ofc i knew only one song from them and tracks from this album differ from it, and I wouldn't say that I like them more, but still they're worth listening. I really really liked the vocals here. A little bit of weird songs here, but overall very unusual rock album experience. It's sound i so unique, not like anything I've heard before. Also the cover on this album is so beautiful. Songs saved:7/13

Modern Kosmology by Jane Weaver
May 18 2025

Ok, this one is mid. I mean it has some good songs, but nothing breathtaking or memorable. Saved some songs, that will play on background, not to really focus on neither melody or lyrics. But still, the ones that I saved are nice, they're thefiller songs in my "obscured" playlist. Also I haveno idead why I must listen to this album while I'm alive. Songs saved: 3/10.

L.A. Woman by The Doors
May 19 2025

WTH!? I skipped this album, omg, because didn't listen to music for 2-3 days. Damn, this is a real 5/5. Again an album to listen to while alive. Songs saved: all.

Channel Orange by Frank Ocean
May 20 2025

Man, idk. Boring ass album, mostly sex songs there. Didn't even listen fully, I just can't listen to that crap. Cringy songs for tiktok. Saved songs: 1/17

My Generation by The Who
May 21 2025

Good album. Classic 60's songs, like beatles. Really nothing much to say. I think they're fathers of rock too, so yeah, must listen. Songs saved:a lot/even more

Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath
May 24 2025

BLACK SABBATH. This is the best album here so far. Damn I've listened to some songs here, but not the album fully. This is a blessing toy ears. Last 4-5 albums were so meh, that I started to dissappoint. My faith has restored. Now this is the birth of heavy-metal here, one best albums oat. Trully an album to listen to while alive. Songs saved: all.
