Parsley, Sage, Rosemary And Thyme by Simon & Garfunkel

I have this album on vinyl and I LOVE it. All 28 minutes and 8 seconds were a blessing for my ears. Keeping the theme of the album while having each song sound so unique is crazy. If two woodland elves made an album this is what it would sound like. I love when medieval music is incorporated into folk rolk and Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, and Thyme is a wonderful example of that. One of my all time favorites. ❤❤❤

Songs In The Key Of Life by Stevie Wonder
May 14 2025

Definitely giving retro 70s summer vibes and I love the album cover (reminds me of a sunset). Main criticism is lack of variety, Pastime Paradise was my fave on this album because it was different and stood out from the rest (Gangster's Paradise inspo?!?!.) The whole album reminded me of C.J Rislove's astronaut and the rockstar. Stevie Wonder has a super unique voice which sounded sooo good with the piano. Unfortunately this music isn't really my style or I would have enjoyed this album a lot more. This was very entertaining to listen to as it was out of my comfort zone. (I did want to hear some more slower songs!)

Juju by Siouxsie And The Banshees
May 15 2025

I wasn't a fan of the lead singer's voice and was disappointed with the instrumentals. A lot of bands during this time sounded similar and Siouxsie and The Banshees failed to stand out or really differentiate themselves (at least in this album.) Very reminiscent of Kate Bush.

Very calming, pretty, and perfect for a rainy day. I'm not a huge fan of instrumentals and I would have preferred a longer album with shorter songs. Definitely going to listen to this while I study.

Pretzel Logic by Steely Dan
May 19 2025

Great album! I adored the vocals on Barrytown, which is probably my favorite off this album (along with With a Gun.) Had such a great variety of instrumentals so every song sounded different from the last.

Gorillaz by Gorillaz

Clint Eastwood carries this album 🙌

Parsley, Sage, Rosemary And Thyme by Simon & Garfunkel

Violent Femmes by Violent Femmes
May 26 2025

This album made me sad because it had everything it needed to be great, but the vocals completely ruined it. It seemed like every song wanted to be humorous or whiny? If the lead singer actually sung this would be great. I adore the album cover though!

The Stone Roses by The Stone Roses
Jun 02 2025

The Stone Roses have a very distinct genre-bending sound (A mix of 60s pop, 80s pop, 90s rock sound.) However the lyrics were a bit strange and the repetition put me off of a lot of the songs.

The Band by The Band
Jun 03 2025

The Band sounds like Canadian CCR. Every song sounded like they were trying to convince me they were from Texas or something though. It almost sounds like a parody of American country-rock that was popular at the time. Overall a fun album that doesn't take itself too seriously.

Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath

This was creepy and not in a good way. Also, 5 songs in a 40 minute album was a bit tiring to listen to.

The Stranger by Billy Joel
Jun 06 2025

I didn't realize how many of Billy Joel's hits came from this one album. Classic! ❤
