1001 Albums Summary

Too many sappy lyrics, too much talk of love, no edge. Way too much ooh-ing and ahh-ing. Very simple melodies. No idea why Buddy Holly was so influential.

A beautiful album and some of the best indie rock I had never heard of. Reminds me a lot of STRFKR. Sometimes a little like The Strokes.

Some really great melodies and overall pretty radical for the late 70s. Feels ahead of its time in spots. Fall In Love With Me is a pretty epic track.

When I started the album, I actually quite liked it, and I do think Now My Heart Is Full is the best song on the album -- but the album got a bit repetitive and a bit boring quickly. Not for me, but not bad.
