1001 Albums Summary

A bit more gangster rap/heavily referencing drugs than I go for, but good to start listening to some Wu-Tang solo records. They’re all clearly great MCs but the ensemble stops any of them from shining fully. Ghostface is an amazing rapper.

Never gave Joplin a fair shake before but this record was really fun. She has incredible vocal range

Super fun record! It’s not just Seven Nation Army. Listen to the end, there are bangers all the way through this one

Not my favourite from Nirvana, a bit more avant-garde than I like personally. But there are some obvious hits here and it’s interesting to listen to the whole record front to back.

Vedder’s voice is a force of nature. A lot of raw emotion on this one
