Living ColourA classic that I don’t think I’ve ever listened to all the way through before. Rounding up from 4.5 to 5 stars

Proto-Rammstein Theatrical Not bad to listen to once; probably would not listen again
Short, good. I don’t think I’ve ever listened to this one, aside from Jean Genie
Aside from the three classics, I’m pretty meh on this album
Great album, would give 4.5 stars if I could
Maybe the sound balance in my car isn’t optimized for this album but it just sounded flat. I feel bad for being bored by this and will definitely give it another listen on better speakers one day.
Love this album; no skips
Fun! This is such a product of its time, it’s like 3-4 different styles all mashed into one album. It was funny hearing the early-Beatles-esque pop followed by big band followed by that kinda psychedelic pop.
This sounds a whole heck of a lot like a whole heck of a lot of bands I already like. I like this, but it feels… hollow? to me. Is it just bc it’s unfamiliar so I have no emotional connection with it? Idk who Billy Bragg is so I don’t have that artistic trust in him. Oh great now I’m reviewing my notes on “Trust and Sincerity in Art” by C. Thi Nguyen. Maybe I do have ADHD; I should make some doctor appointments. Wait, now it’s a bluegrass album? I don’t know, man.
I shouldn’t have listened to this while in such a “love is dead” mood.
I just don’t like his voice. The instrumentals were great.
Every song kinda sounded the same, but it was a good song. Reminds me of Cooter.
Man, this album came out within my peak Beck listening years and I barely remember it. It’s pretty to listen to but still too ambient (or like… airy? idk the right word) for me to really get invested. Maybe that’s my loss, but if I was in this kinda mood I’d go with Morning Phase nine times out of ten.

Grew up on this. Classic.
There are a couple songs that I’m kinda meh on towards the beginning, so I’d want to give it a 3.5 bc of that, but the rest is good enough to round back up to a 4.
Somebody to Love and White Rabbit are two of my most favorite songs of all time. The rest of the album is boring. Or I’m not on enough psychedelics.
It took a couple of tracks to get over the shock and confusion, but I really appreciate what they did here. Idk if I could listen to this front to back in one sitting, but what I *do* want is to make techno music and sample this.
I did not want to give this assclown any streaming revenue, but figured I should give the album a fair shake since I hadn’t heard any of it since it was playing on TRL. It’s just as shitty as I remembered. BUT, I’d probably rock out to bawitaba if I was drunk at a townie bar, and for that reason alone I won’t complain about the lack of a zero star rating.
CCR is part of the soundtrack of my childhood, but I don’t really ever want to listen to a whole album of theirs. Every song on this album is very good to great, but I only want to hear one at a time. Is it that their range is too limited, or is it a me problem?
A good album.
It’s good music, just not my thing
I liked this ever so slightly more than I expected I would. Still solidly “meh”. Like, they’re clearly talented musicians but it’s just too polished for me.
I’m not really one for jazz, but because of j cole on night shift, this would be my go-to, should I want to listen to jazz music. It’s good, I’m just an uncultured soul that does not get the genre as a whole. That rhymed. How fun
