Just really liked it. Great lyrics, unique sound, really just felt like I let Rage down listening to this at my desk in a corporate office job.
Very interesting. Not something I'd ever seek out. Bhimpalasi is a bop.
Everything kinda blended together. Did not dislike it, but expected to like it more.
Loved this. Imagine is the most popular song on this album, and it's the safest, most boring song on it as well. Really enjoyed the use of horns.
A little one note but ultimately enjoyed this. Always appreciate anyone that integrated horns in their music.
I like a lot of Massive Attack, but this one fell a bit short for me.
I really like the hits in this album. The rest of it is so forgettable that I had to go back and re-listen to some of the 2nd half of the album. I'm all for White Stripes, but why THIS album on this list?
I ultimately felt that this was an average blues band. Love to hear the African influence, but I didn't not feel strongly about much on it.
This album made me feel nothing. I didn't hate it, but I also didn't feel anything else about it either. I definitely listened to an album.
Enjoyed this a lot more than I expected. The 2nd half after the hits was a surprising part of REM I've never heard before.
I did not like this. I love everything that this started, as there are clear elements of noise rock and experimental, but as an actual album, I appreciate what they started more than the actual album. It was rough to get through.
I thought I'd like this more. I am an avid jazz fan, and as much as I love pieces of this, collectively as an album I wasn't super into it. Great sounds, and probably underrating this.
Really enjoyed this. I thought the album as a whole flowed very well together, and there was some variety in the songs for the album. Pleasant surprise.
I went through my acoustic phase years ago, getting really into singer-songwriter stuff. I don't get this album. Maybe the lyrics and songwriting is "good" on another listen or two, but at first glance I feel like this offers nothing. I did not enjoy any part of this, and of all the albums listened to during this album thingy, this album made me check the time the most, and check if "this song is the last one" the most. I'm all good on this.
Nostalgic, fast, political, pretty much everything I love about punk in this band. It's not perfect, but it was fun, and catchy in a chaotic sort of way. Loved going back to this.
