This crew understood the importance of extremes in rock and roll. For this album, they cranked everything- song lengths, instrumentation, emotion, and lyrics up to 11. And never let up for a second.
The hits are amazing, all time classics. Vienna and Scenes are fan favorite deep cuts for a reason. The other songs, and itβs just two songs really, are almost filler tracks that drop it to less than five stars.
Good, not great? I enjoy it, but it isnβt my favorite from them.
This album is weighted so heavily to βDonβt Know Whyβ that one forgets the rest of the album is great too.
Stan Getz is a fantastic blower. Not a great guy. But this album is quite good, almost in par with his greatest works.
Itβsβ¦ fine? I never got into the Sugarcubes the way I got into Bjork.
The first four Sabbath albums are perfection.
Lots of good Elvis albums, only a handful of truly great ones. This album is great.
