1. Repetitive beat and lyrics. Not horrible, but not my thing. Nice piano.
2. Really don't like the vocals.
3. No bad, but wouldn't listen again.
4. Feel like I've heard this one before, not sure where.
5. Don't like 90s preprogrammed beats or flute.
6. Same song as song 5 but with vocals. No.
7. Fast, distracting vibration in vocals. Ugh. No.
8. Too much dead space. I understand needing to breath, but too much.
9. I've heard this. Will Neff. Good. Wouldn't be an everyday listen.
10. Continuation from last song. Changed up a little. Talking.
11. Not bad if your in a 90s dance rap mood.
12. Liking the accapella moments off this album more than anything. Good song. Feel like I've also heard it before. Songs that stood the test of time.
13. Heard before. Definitely been an earworm in the past.
14. Decent instrumental.
15. Different version of song 12. "However do you want me..." mash up of previous songs.
16. Don't like the samples. Annoying.
3/10 Would likely never listen again. Not my thing.
1. To be continued...meme song. 70s prog rock.
2. Short song. Kinda classical. Sounds like it would be in period drama in the 70s.
3. Another short one. 70s folk rock chant.
4. Feels/sounds like Mastodon a little bit; a slightly dark edge, more dramatic. Actually like this one. Good for a prog Playlist.
5. 38 second nonsense.
6. Kind of a filler song. Did move me much.
7. Another short song. Weird song name that is also the only lyrics. Too lazy to Google what it means.
8. Nice acoustic guitar. You can tell the guitarist knows what their doing. Slight Spanish feel. Almost a modern day Melody in the middle of the song.
9. 3 and a half minutes before the first lyric. Prog journey type of song.
10. Song about hitch hiking in America? Idk. Michigan mentioned! Kind of a bluegrass feel. Sound like what America might sound like if that makes sense.
11. The first song but an earlier mix/version.
1. Not what I expected vocally, because I've heard Steven Tyler voice growing up. Pass.
2. The Melody almost sounds like Shania Twains Feel Like a Woman, except this song is about an orphan girl that had to become a prostitute to survive and when she cried at night, no one gave a shit. Depressing.
3. I feel like he's blaming Eve for the fall of Eden. But I'm biased, so idk. Sounds kinda country fried rock. Feel like Kid Rock would listen to this.
4. Walk This Way. Iconic Song. Oh god the lyrics: "I met a cheerleader, she was a real young bleeder, oh the times I could reminisce, Cause the best things of lovin with her sister and her cousin". Idk if this was written when the boys where in high school. If not, this is now the creepiest song. Stay away from high school girls Steven! It is an iconic guitar riff though. Infantalizing up the wazoo though.
5. Swing Penis Song. Very blues. Raunchy.
6. Sweet Emotion. Didn't know this was their song tbh. Hooking up with (probably underage) groupies.
7. Being bored on the road type song.
8. "Sweet Sixteen". Very repetitive.
9. Please don't leave me ahh song/ballad. Vocals are more rasp than vocals at one point. Good brass section though.
4/10 Steven Tyler is a POS. Albums only on this list for the singles. Not my thing. Kinda creepy.
1. Idk. Shout out women.
2. Didn't know they used "clout" back then. References I know nothing about. Not bad.
3. Homelessness/Class awareness. Talking about a guy living on their stoop and his life story.
4. Egg Man. Drive by shootings but replace shooting with eggs. A good way to get around Gore I guess. There's a sound in the mix that sounds like Faint by Linkin Park.
5. High Plains Drifter. Good beat. Lot of moaning. Kinda horny. A lot of talk of guns, which I wasn't expecting. Were the Beastie Boys like that? Favorite song so far off the album.
6. This is more what I expected. Bill Nye Science Guy Type Rap. And drugs.
7. I don't think the "D" was for diamonds. Chillin like Bob Dylan. Sex and Drugs. Easy girls. A little misogynistic if not sarcastic.
8. Hey Ladies 💅 Getting girls. The old lying to get girls to sleep with you. Goofy song. Not bad.
9. Random Hick Country interval.
10. Good song. Racism is Schism.
11. More drug references that I've never heard of. Corruption of politicians and police.
12. What Comes Around. Domestic violence. But kinda blaming the girl for choosing a piece of shit? Maybe. Decent song though.
13. Song about them being MCs.
14. 11 second voicemail.
15. PAAnts.
16. Mike get one the mic!
17. New York subway life.
18. Establishing their lore type song.
19. Johnny Cash reference. Song about Brooklyn. Wanting to enjoy the fruits of their labor.
20. I simply don't know.
21. They really wanted to get laid. Lol.
22. Ok.
23. Whatcha gonna do? Back to shout out WOMEN....
6.9/10 Fitting
1. Very mild, easy listening jazz. 9 minutes, but didn't really feel like it. Kinda boring/kinda not. Feels like a right mood, right time type of listen. No lyrics, I think this is just a instrumental/trumpet album.
2. Continuation of first song. Building off of previous song.
3. Giving a little more film noir score vibes.
4. Nothing to say. All of these songs have been like nine minutes of smooth jazz.
5. I wouldn't be able to pick it out of the other songs.
5.9/10 Not for me, but I understand why people would listen to this. It also has the added benefit of zero lyrics, so it can stand the test of time without becoming problematic like the Aerosmith album I listened to before this.
1. Stoner song. Apathy and boredom in suburbia. Good production for a '94 album.
2. Very much not having a blast. It's kinda giving suicide bomber. They were really working through some emotions with this album.
3. Eh. Good instrumental break, but otherwise a mid song.
4. One of their more memorable songs. Heard this before. Probably a single. I Like it. Can relate to having no motivation and being bored. "My mother says to get a job, but she don't like the one she's got." OH shit do I relate to this! No wonder their still relevant. Wait...is this song about jerking it?
5. Really like the melody of this one. He seems to title songs sarcastically a lot with this album. Very much not paradise. About being homeless/leaving home for the first time/living in a crappy situation.
6. Domestic violence (he's the victim) in an upbeat tempo.
7. Basket Case, another classic. Subtle nod to Billie Joe's bisexuality. Good on him for even kinda doing that in '94.
8. Feeling like you have no choices in life. Like everything is already planned out and you don't get a say.
9. Wasting time.
10. Another familiar song. In many coming of age movies.
11. Coming clean about something, maybe his sexuality?
12. Meeting an old friend that's different now.
13. Toxic relationship, the aftermath anyway.
14. Nice acoustic song, unexpected, then back to punk.
15. Such a weird, goofy, and un-serious ending to an album.
6.9/10
