1001 Albums Summary

This is a really solid album. I love how it mixes protest songs with love songs. The interludes are a nice touch that help tie everything together. There are so many tracks that just make you want to move. I was hooked from start to finish!

Michael Jackson has never clicked for me, and this disco-heavy album reinforced that feeling. I'm generally not a fan of disco to begin with, so the retro production style was already working against it. The songs feel dated and the writing doesn't grab me. Nothing here made me want to hit repeat. Trying to get through the album felt like a chore. Definitely wouldn't have listened to this outside of working through this list.
