actually didnt expect it to be so enjoyable. i mean ive known about the album for a year or two, also had "Liability" in one of my old playlists, but never considered Lorde as my thing. but liability gave me so many flashbacks.. overall, the album gives such a vibe of the 2016-17 era. when i listened to it, it felt like i was 13-15 again, it was the end of spring, summer was coming and i wanted to have a new era, or smtng like that. the soundtrack to a hot, young and free summer, with nothing that needs to be done in front of me.
note - some of the instrumentals really surprised me (in a good way)
listened to this one on an evening walk. this site gave me probably the most ideal genre of music for this occasion. there wasnt any particular melody that would stick with me anyhow personal, it was more like the whole oldie vibe that i enjoyed. in my eyes, nothing that special (sorry pixies fans), but i can imagine that if i found this band a few years ago and started listening to them on a more personal level, i would get into it more.
didnt really pay much attention while listening to this one, played only in the background while cleaning my room. it had a good vibe overall, it gave the y2k movies soundtrack feeling. but it isnt really anything i would come back to, no special melody that would stay in my head.
a classic one. Purple rain was actually one of my most listened songs last year, i love that one sooo much. the whole album was fun to listen to, actually surprised me with the experimental side of it. but ngl, while listening to it, i was only waiting for the last song, so i could enjoy one of my favorite songs of all time once again:Dd loooveeee for prince
didnt really get into this one. since i started listening to more "modern" genres, its hard for me to get into oldie music unless i have quite like a personal relationship to the artist or so. so this one didnt do it for me, but again, my opinion says nothing about the quality of it!
not for meee, didnt make me feel anything special while listening to it, also didnt make it through more than 2 songsðŸ˜ðŸ˜nevermiind. but the instrumentals of the first song suprised me! no doubt cohen is a musical genius, it is just more of a church music tak my kind of music.
rhcp was my favorite band through 2022-23🥹so when i saw the name i was very excitedd. it felt crazy listening to this genre after all this time of changing my taste in music:Dd but it was great. actually, i didnt enjoy this album anyhow personally, but listening to it lead my to my old rhcp album with all my favorite hits and the nostalgia hit HARD. i just love them, such a big part of my life, an era. (this little stars just bcs of this concrete album, overall they are like a 10/10 for me:Dd)
