Parsley, Sage, Rosemary And Thyme by Simon & Garfunkel
Aug 12 2025

Like the feel of the opening song (smth canticle) that reminds me of sound of silence? Would be interesting to pin down. The multiple threads going in each song was interesting (esp closing song) but would be tough for me to appreciate without the lyrics. Very cohesive album/consistent, was a fan.

Bryter Layter by Nick Drake

Instrumentals are just a bit… boring to me? Trite/predictable?

Bayou Country by Creedence Clearwater Revival

Guitar on good golly miss Molly is pretty sick. Penthouse pauper cracked me up. In general, a bit too country for me?

Channel Orange by Frank Ocean

Thinkin Bout You -- love the melody, falsetto. listening to the lyrics actually for once, kinda like em too. Sierra Leone -- a bit less psyched about this one Sweet Life -- enjoyed this one. lyrics pretty solid Super Rich Kids -- earl's flow goes hard. tone of rapping matches the spirit of the song Pilot Jones -- love the falsetto. ending of the lyrics hits hard Pyramids -- pretty sick storyline once i read the genius page Monks -- kinda mid Bad Religion -- enjoyed it but not sure how i feel about the lyrics basically being the same thing repeated 2x? allusion to actual religion or love? Pink Matter -- peaches/mangoes referenced again (from Sweet Life?); orangey fruits?
