Another example of album recorded as a political statement. Despite the fact that I consider this record talented (and individual tracks BRILLIANT), «Meat Is Murder» is so far the weakest album I've listened to from The Smiths. There is no enthusiasm of their debut album and there are not as many bangers as in «Queen Is Dead».
This is a discovery for me. Unexpectedly, but I'm even ready to listen to it again later!
Vibe and chill. Title track is one of the greatest songs of all time.
My favorite album from David's glam era. Even those tracks that didn't become big hits are ICONIC for me.
