Pearl JamAs a vocalist, somewhat fun to sing if you know the lyrics, though not really my style. Apparently my gf's mom likes them though

v chill and comfy album. From songs for rainy dusk time and and songs for listening while chilling on a beach and for just closing down for the day, this is a good everyday listening album with easy to reach vocals and easy-going bossanova elements
Not really a fan of grunge or progressive rock of this particular flavor. Im more of a minty fresh kinda guy and the vibes of these songs are like muddy. Its for someone, but not for me
Not really the kind of satire albums I like but I can respect the vision. This feels like a hannah-barberra joint
Good first impression of an opening song. I like the combination of the percussive elements, the wistful piano, and strings somber but hopeful
lucid lead guitars, flangers?, grunge-esque sound, yellow always a banger. Remember performing this back in college. Interesting to see the evolution of their sound coming from this album. Martin is relatively safe vocal wise and doesn't really stretch his vocals like he does in later albums with some notes of 90s restraint that identified this generation of music. Piano is more rhythmic than melodic which I suppose is a coldplay staple. I see them playing with the swell of their arrangements here where they are later perfected in subsequent albums. last song kinda slaps.
ooh lobby/living room music. somber piano with the soft reverb is always classy. Love the powerful but calming voice with the big band. Cecilia always a banger. I like how all the elements of this song have their place in the sonic space. like you're there being performed to, but somehow its around a campfire too. Okay Keeping the Customer Satisfied slaps. The nylons on that one song are kinda good. The dissonance is really cool.
not really my thing, I'm just gonna vote based on what albums I would rather listen to than this. sors
All in all, a safe album to perform. Clean, unimposing. South of the Border is maybe the most experimental of the group, and its no fluke that it's also the song that interested my ears the most.
Reminds me of americana or beach music, there's that one song that everyone knows but it just feels all samey because the musical dynamics rarely change, which might be for someone else, but not me
Spaghetti Westerns or fallout songs. I can appreciate the layered harmonies here but it does get samey melody wise sometimes. Made me sleepy at work
I really like the percussive elements in this album. Each instrument is allowed to shine here. I also like the exploration of different scales here.
