Homework by Daft Punk
Aug 27 2025

Have always liked this album and have listened to it many times. Have liked pretty much everything Daft Punk has put out.

The Next Day by David Bowie
Aug 28 2025

I’m a David Bowie fan, but was unfamiliar with this album. It had the avant-garde sophistication of Bowie. Very well executed. But, wasn’t exciting to me and will probably not give it a second listen.

Coat Of Many Colors by Dolly Parton
Sep 01 2025

Dolly’s voice is so natural and pure. Stories sung with effortless charm.

Vespertine by Björk
Sep 04 2025

I love the pristine production, everything sounded so clean and defined. Bjork has been a stand out talent for decades. No one comes close to what she does vocally.

Sep 05 2025

I respect it, but never jelled with this 90s gangster rap. I would have been in high school when this came out and had friends that were into it so I heard this album a bit. Never drew me in though.

London Calling by The Clash
Sep 06 2025

Great album. Very approachable and easy listening for a punk band. A lot of different styles are covered here, but with attitude and some grit.

Elvis Presley by Elvis Presley
Sep 07 2025

Not sure I really get it. I understand he’s a pioneer of rock and roll, but in the context of hearing all that came after it’s hard discern what was edgy and provocative about this. When the Brits took the blues and cranked up the angst and bravado, that’s when it started to feel like rock and roll to me.

The Bends by Radiohead
Sep 08 2025

I like every song on this album. I think this album is where this band really started soaring creatively.

Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd
Sep 09 2025

One of my all time favorites. Great atmospheric composition. Five out of five.

Deserter's Songs by Mercury Rev
Sep 10 2025

This was my first listen and not sure how I missed this band. This is right up my alley. Love the songs and production. Will check out more of their catalog.

Quiet Life by Japan
Sep 11 2025

This must have been ahead of the curve. Sounds like bands that were popular closer to the mid eighties.

Sep 12 2025

Was skeptical going in not being familiar with Dion other than Runaround Sue and other early 50s pop songs. I listened to the first song and then didn’t pull it up again for a couple weeks. But, on a quiet Sunday morning I put it on and listened straight through it and found it pretty enjoyable. Some surprisingly honest lyrics and rich arrangements.

Dusty In Memphis by Dusty Springfield
Sep 13 2025

What a voice. What a vibe. Super cool.

Shadowland by k.d. lang
Sep 14 2025

Great vocal performance.
