With The Beatles
BeatlesI love the Beatles but somehow had completely missed this album… but after listening to it, I hadn’t missed out on anything. For the most part a very forgettable album.

I’ve always like the idea or aesthetic of acid rock but come to think of it I’ve never really listened to it. I particularly liked the foxy track. I think if I were to listen to this album 50 times I’d absolutely love it.
Really fun and exciting to listen to. Some of the songs reminded me of Remain in Light I wonder if Talking Heads were influenced by this artist. I will try listening to more of his music
I listen to a lot of modern hip hop and rap and really enjoyed listening to this. After a few songs I really started to get into the style. That said it’s honestly very samey. After listening through most of the album and getting to work I didn’t bother listening to the rest of the tracks until the next day. Also the synth is very grating.

It’s not really my thing.
I didn’t listen to the whole album as it is quite long. But it is a real feel good album and there are some fun tracks. I didn’t know gangster paradise came from one of stevie wonders’ songs. Normally I can’t stand religious music but the more religious tracks on here were great.
Doing this 1000 album thing has really showed me how little music knowledge I have. I thought I knew David Bowie but it’s embarrassing to realise I haven’t yet listened to a full album by him. This was the best hit for me yet in this album list.
I really enjoyed it not something I’d normally listen to. I will have to find out more about nick drake. Edit I looked up Nick Drake and how tragic how sad if only he were recognised while still alive
Honestly I can see why I’ve never heard of this band. It’s not bad but pretty forgettable. There were a couple of songs in the second half I liked but not enough that I can say what songs they were looking at the titles.
Really fun to listen to. I know nothing about this kind of music so it’s hard to judge so all I can say is I enjoyed it,
Good for a couple of songs but his voice is not really my thing. A whole album of it is a bit much.
I remember when I was in uni, one day I went down to the cinema in the library basement, where they had $5 Wednesdays, and watched nick cave’s 20,000 days on earth. It was an incredible movie and I absolutely loved it. I can’t say how many times I listened to Push the sky away. Since then I haven’t listened to much of his other music so am very happy he is on this list. He has this poetic, abstract lyrical style which normally I would hate but for whatever reason it really connects with me when it’s nick cave. I hope to hear more of his music on this list
