Dire Straits by Dire Straits
Sep 03 2025

Dire Straits is in a league of their own. Absolute slapper of an album. Get goosebumps listening to it. Not quite Brothers in Arms but still so so good.

Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division
Sep 10 2025

Man, this album was not for me. I think I’m especially disappointed because I absolutely loved the opening track and was hoping for a similar vibe for the rest of the album. Disorder is upbeat, fun and catchy. The rest of the album is gloomy, repetitive and boring?? The whole time I was just waiting for something to happen. I’m also just not a fan of the bummer mumble/purposely sometimes off-key lead singer. I looked them up and am genuinely shocked these guys are the same guys from New Order???? HUH???

Beautiful Freak by Eels
Sep 11 2025

Love Eels and love the lead singer’s voice. Was enjoyable to listen to and def had a few bangers. Thought it was different, weird and fun. Also the nostalgia hits. Probably wouldn’t go out of my way to listen to the entire album from start to finish again hence the 3 stars.

The Clash by The Clash
Sep 12 2025

Just another 34 minute jam session with them changing their chant every 1-2 minutes. Only bright part was Police and Thieves. Overall repetitive and boring. I’m trying to keep an open mind since punk isn’t really my jam to begin with, but this album offers nothing exciting or new? Every song was the same. At least it was better than Joy Division.

The Undertones by The Undertones
Sep 15 2025

“Ooh baby baby, what can I do, you know you drive me crazy, looking at you” big things coming from the Undertones folks. This album feels like it came out in 1959??? Boring and just extremely safe and repetitive? Overall I’m mad these albums are ruining my Spotify algorithm Edit: ok just finished it and honestly the second half of the album was a noticeable improvement from the first, pleasant to listen to. I apologize for my outburst earlier I was cranky about my Spotify algorithm

Sep 16 2025

Listened to the first six songs and gave up. Also AN HOUR AND NINE MINUTES??? Nah fam

Chore of Enchantment by Giant Sand
Sep 17 2025

It’s as if Modest Mouse, Wilco and Tom Waits had super weird music baby. I honestly didn’t hate it. It was weird but refreshingly different and NOT 70S PUNK!!! Loved the genre blending. Waaaaaayyyyyy too long but I enjoyed wondering what craziness was coming next. Not generally a fan of the whisper singing and it’s my least favorite part of the album. Stand outs for me - Shiver, Dirty from the Rain, Astonished in Memphis (the ending with the oboe???), No Reply

In Utero by Nirvana
Sep 18 2025

The hits are good, the rest is very much not good

Sep 19 2025

Liked this more than I thought I would! Musically so strong/guitar foundation doing the heavy lifting. Not a fan of her voice/the yelling. Ultimately would pick Garbage over Hole (the band not actual trash)

Next by The Sensational Alex Harvey Band

-Bro what the hell was that -mixing sounded like shit for the most part? Sounded like all mics were covered with a wet sock - GANG BANG ARE YOU KIDDING - “there were 27 guys, what an unexpected surprise” “she was SMILING THROUGH THE TEARS” I’m calling the police - next was crazy - love the Scottish accents - last of the teenage idols is actually pretty great but not worth what i just went through -my Spotify wrapped is gonna be absolutely doinked this year

The Predator by Ice Cube
Sep 25 2025

-it’s so cool to see the star of war of the worlds 2025 giving music a try <3 -a lot of mixed feelings on this one -I never listen to lyrics so I really made an effort to, obviously very culturally significant and maybe even more so today (weeeee) - it was a good day a classic for a reason, but the rest was so so so repetitive and boring at times -I like some rap but am super picky with what I like and I just can’t help but feel like most is just slam poetry set to hooks from the 50’s they didn’t even write so sue me!!!! Best wishes, the whitest person alive
