Can't Buy A Thrill by Steely Dan
Sep 30 2025

Some of their catchiest and most listenable work, but has a few too many lulls and duds, especially in the second half of the album. The highs of Do It Again and Reelin In The Years are matched by the lows of Fire In The Hole and Brooklyn. A decent album but doesn't reach the same levels of jazzy, easy listening, yacht rock that Steely Dan is known for on Aja

Elastica by Elastica
Oct 02 2025

Fun brit/punk rock album. Fun and high energy, but a tad bit bland at times.

Beggars Banquet by The Rolling Stones
Oct 07 2025

Pretty unremarkable album all things considered. Feels like the Rolling Stones were just copying many of the most popular and influential sounds of the 60's (i.e. The Beatles and Bob Dylan) and repackaging them. Not an offensively bad album by any means, just somewhat unoriginal. There were many other albums from this era that did the psychadelic pop/folky rock sound much better.
