Feels like I'm being pranked. Occasional moments of genuinely great instrumental music, but 80% extremely overstimulating synths and terrible vocals. Feels like quintessential cringe dad music that he only plays while sanding stuff in the garage. (What is he sanding? Is it the same piece of wood over and over again? God, why the fuck does he listen to this?)

Nilsson Schmilsson by Harry Nilsson
Oct 03 2025

lime in the coconut jumpscare This album is fun, had a good time listening to it. Some banger songs. My favourite's Jump Into the Fire. A lot of the songs aren't quite my taste, but it's doing what it's doing well.

I Should Coco by Supergrass
Oct 04 2025

The kind of music 14 year old aspires to like. I knew Alright already but the rest was new. Super energetic and edgy, sometimes in a good way, sometimes not. Overall fun, makes me want to make bad decisions.

Violator by Depeche Mode
Oct 05 2025

Ehhh. It's alright. Not my taste but I see what it's doing. Personal Jesus is good, but I do wish they'd turn it up to 11.

Californication by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Oct 06 2025

Hilariously quintessential RHCP. Listening to new songs off this album feels like I'm reading a meme making fun of RHCP. But at the same time, this shit rips so hard. I'm a simple boy. I love this shit.

Lust For Life by Iggy Pop
Oct 07 2025

Generally fun but not something I'd listen to again. Reminds me of the kind of shit my male friends would put on and give me an inferiority complex about because I felt like I didn't ~get~ it. That being said The Passenger is good. Turn Blue was a DNF, that song sucks shit.

Not my taste, but I see the appeal. I did add Blow Your Mind to my music library, but IDK how long it'll stay there seeing as how its 8 befuckening minutes long.

Sound of Silver by LCD Soundsystem
Oct 10 2025

In a word, overstimulating. This album got worse and worse as my last toke got further and further away. There's some good vibey beats but the vocals aren't there. This is definitely music to have on in the background of a 2007 party. (When I saw that this album came out in 2007 I was like ohhhhh that makes sense.) I do kind of like North American Scum as a song but the lyrics are horrifying lmfao.

Hard Again by Muddy Waters
Oct 11 2025

This is such fundamental, foundational stuff, and I mean that in the most complimentary way possible. It sounds like what I think stereotypical blues music sounds like, and I'm pretty sure that's because of this man. The only song that connected for me was I Want to Be Loved #2. But I can definitely see the merit of this album and feel grateful to have heard it.

Underwater Moonlight by The Soft Boys
Oct 12 2025

Meh. DNFed about half the songs, and the other hand were just okay.

Oct 14 2025

Makes me wish I had a sweetie to put this on and dance to at the sockhop. Some of the songs I like better in the studio recording, but some of them need that live recording. Bring It on Home to Me makes me think of Sinners in the most complimentary way possible. Truly transcendental stuff. This album plays super well as one continuous thing, definitely something I'd be happy to put on and walk away to flirt with a cutie.

Dirt by Alice In Chains
Oct 15 2025

Utterly boring. Not my thing at all. Didn't finish any of the songs because they just did not hit. Abstractly I know some people love this band, which is baffling TBH. Is soft metal a thing? Because this is soft as fuck. Not for me, to be sure.

She's So Unusual by Cyndi Lauper
Oct 16 2025

Man, obviously the singles are iconic, but they're not even that good?? And everything else on the album is significantly worse. It's not horrible, but it's just... not for me, I guess. Found myself thinking, "Man, I'm glad I didn't grow up in the 80s."

Oct 17 2025

Mehh, alright, not my thing. Found myself tuning it out a lot. It's not bad, I just didn't vibe with it.

Remain In Light by Talking Heads
Nov 24 2025

Not for me. The songs do grow on you after awhile: they need a minute to get into the groove. Best tracks IMO are Crosseyed and Painless, and The Great Curve.

Exodus by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Nov 25 2025

Lovely chill time. Most songs aren't something I'd add to my library, but perfectly pleasant to listen to. So Much Things To Say was a new discovery that I love.

Kings Of The Wild Frontier by Adam & The Ants
Nov 26 2025

I think I just don't like new wave lmao. It's like. There's so much happening here, and it makes me feel nothing. Feels like the music your older cousins listen to and you're just like ??????????

The Stranger by Billy Joel
Dec 06 2025

Thoroughly elevator music. Vienna is good, and I like the Glee version of Only the Good Die Young, but otherwise a very lackluster album.

Playing With Fire by Spacemen 3
Feb 12 2026

Kept waiting for the songs to start and then they were over. Not to my taste at all, and kind of baffled that this exists tbqh

Bad by Michael Jackson
Feb 13 2026

Banger of an album. I was stunned to see so many of these songs on a single album: huge impact on the world. Added The Way You Make Me Feel to my library, but otherwise no additions.
