A true classic by the band, but when reaching for one of their albums it has never been my first pick as this is not the style of punk I associate with The Offspring.
Has many classic songs though.
Although Nirvana has never been my first pick when craving some grunge sound, this is one of the albums I would recognize from the first strummed chords.
It has most of my favorite songs from the band and it's influence is undeniably huge.

If I had to sum it up - this album is absolutely legendary. For many people "metal music" is equals to Metallica.
At first I thought it would be hard to decide on a rating for this album as I thought that 20 years ago it would, without doubt, be a straight 5/5.
The impact of it is undeniable. To me it probably is the most iconic of all the albums Metallica has written.
To give a proper rating I decided to give it a full listen as I don't remember the last time I did that.
And it's still great. My taste has evolved and gone way past listening to strictly thrash/heavy metal, but this album delivers. The musicality and overall musical skill of the four shines in this one. Just listen to Orion, for example, or the melodic, bluesy solo in Master of Puppets.
So, after all these years, I still have to give it a 5/5.
This is probably most Tom Petty I've listened to in a span of one day, don't actively dislike what he and The Heartbreakers have been doing, but it just has never been my taste.
However I had never registers that Breakdown is one of their songs.
Non-offensive and not very memorable album for me.
