1001 Albums Summary

I liked it. More than 1989 which I happened to listen to over dinner with my parents. Didn't know any songs going in. It's a winter album, but suits sitting in a national express bus in Autumn. Wild! Can't believe I've never heard thos before. Mad influence for Coheed and Cambria in Maggot Brain. And stepping off a national express to the start of Can You Get To That thinking "THIS IS WHERE THIS IS FROM?" Very much a case of a band name/album name/cover absolutely obliterating any interest in me listening to the album, but damn was I foolish to do so. It's great.

Not for me. Great musician ship and layers to songs, but nothing stood out

So good! I bought this for my dad as a teenager and it didn't grab me when listening then. I've since fell in love with Patti Smith and damn does that recontextualise everything. Gorgeously listenable. Surprisingly cool. They Won't Go When I Go absolute fucks.

I love REM. Some all time greats on this. But as an album didn't work entirely. Gotta spend more time with it

Bob Dylan is an excellent songwriter, but also not often the best deliverer of his work. Solid songs, but a little much to listen to in one sitting. Lily, Rosemary... is amazing though
