Bittersweet and Triptych are strange, both require another listen. Everything else has been winding, bendy, sexy, sleazy, cool, jazzy and funky. Prairie Rose (last track) is my favorite.
Classic. Highlights: I'm Only Sleeping, Here There and Everywhere, She Said She Said, Good Day Sunshine, For No One
Solid from beginning to end, no notes
Super dated. I can see how this was groundbreaking back in the day, and it has some serious gems, "Tricky" and "Proud to Be Black," especially. Overall would not return to listen to the entire album, but would listen to specific tracks.
Thunder Road has always annoyed me. Didn't know he had that soul! - i.e. "Tenth Avenue Freeze Out" "Night" has all the elements of a great song: locomotive bass, catchy chorus and bridges This album sounds like Meatloaf Theatrical in an annoying way, not a good or sexy way. Never need to listen to this album again.
