Surprised by how much I enjoyed this. Definite shades of early Dylan and undoubtedly a source of inspiration for Neil Young.

Ashamed it took me so long to get around to listening to this. Loses it's steam for me following Heroin, but a great first half warrants a 4 star rating.
Favourite Songs: Sunday Morning, I'm Waiting for the Man, Venus in Furs, Heroin
Lease Favourite Songs - Everything that follows Heroin (except I'll Be Your Mirror)

One of my childhood favourites. The CD was stored constantly in my portable CD player. Fun to listen to again nonetheless. Easy 5 star for me.

Was excited to listen to my first full Public Enemy project having been aware of the group through their classic hits. Unfortunately, this didn't grab me in the way I thought it would. Middle of the road on this one, didn't hate it, didn't love it.
Favourites: Shut Em Down
Least Favourites: Honestly don't feel that strongly about anything on this album, not crazy on the Bring tha noise re-release.

Honestly more familiar with Trent Reznor from his work on movie scores. Of course I've heard some NiN music, most notably Hurt (prefer Johnny's version) and Closer (which I never enjoyed) so I can't say I was overly excited when this popped up.
Right from the opening track this album is atmospheric, intense and feels like the musical accompaniment to the Saw movie franchise. Heavy electronical sounds paired with harsh industrial rock. Trent's musical ability really shines through and it's no surprise he's since worked on movie soundtracks as he paints a clear picture of the themes and story of the album, not only through his lyrics but also through the tense, anxiety inducing production. Sidenote, the piano breakdown on March of the Pigs genuinely took me by surprise.
It makes for bleak and depressing listening for large parts of the album with key themes of self loathing, sexual guilt and religious apathy. But it would be a lie to suggest I didn't find myself enjoying chunks of this album. Not sure when I'll find myself in the right mood to listen again but I enjoyed this. I think.
I need a shower after that one.
Favourite: Piggy, March of the Pigs, The Becoming, A Warm Place, Hurt
Least favourite: Closer, Big Man With A Gun, Eraser,

Pretty shameful this is my first full Beatles album to listen to. Music like Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Hendrix etc. always appealed to me more growing up. Of course I've heard a good chunk of these throughout the years but listening from start to finish is an enjoyable experience.
There's an argument to be made that the album has 10/15 songs too many, particular when you compare the classics on disc 1 vs disc 2. Regardless I enjoyed both albums and found some gems I'd never heard before.
Top end of 4 stars for this album, likely an easy 5 if it was a tight 15 track album. Just loses it's steam on disc 2.

Milky Cereal could be the worst song I’ve heard in my life.
Despite some heavily controversial lines most of this album plays like radio friendly 90’s rap, and not in a good way. I’ll stick to Ice Cube et all for my 90’s rap fix.
Favourite: Mama said knock you out (even if it’s cheesy)
Least favourite: most of the rest
Rating 3/10
Not many songs I don't love off this album and definitely not my first full listen. First half of the album is packed to the brim with classic 00's hits. Not everything on the back half hits quite as hard but nonetheless this is a classic from my childhood. Always going to be a 5 star for me.
Favourites: Time to Pretend, Weekend Wars, The Youth, Electric Feel, Kids
Least Favourite: 4th Dimensional Transition, The Handshake

Firstly I must admit that I'm Oasis over Blur, I'd probably also take Damon Albarn's Gorillaz over Blur but nonetheless was excited to listen to this album all the way through for the first time. Outside of the the two openers everything was new to me.
I will say that I think prefer this version Blur to their radio friendly Britpop sound but nonetheless this album still meanders along without every truly grabbing my attention. There's nothing necessarily wrong with any of the songs here, on the flip-side, there's nothing engrossing about any of them either.
Decent overall but no higher.
Favourites: Beetlebum, Song 2
Least favourites: Country Sad Ballad Man, Movin' On, Essex Dogs

Only prior knowledge of Kacey Musgraves is the fantastic Zach Bryan tune "I Remember Everything". I knew walking in that Kacey has a fantastic voice so my expectations were reasonably high.
And a great voice she has, but that's where the praise largely finishes. The album admittedly starts out strong with Slow Burn. It's followed by Lady Antebellum/early Taylor Swift regens that didn't grab my attention as much as I was hoping. The album largely continues in this mushy country pop nature. Despite her great vocals (which I have no doubt could make great country music), this album just wasn't that interesting to me.
Also confirmed for me that I very much fall on the country-folk side of the fence rather than the radio-friendly country pop. Not offensively bad by any means but just not something I'll be revisiting.
