The Gershwin Songbook by Ella Fitzgerald

The songs are beautiful and Fitzgerald has a wonderful voice. It’s two legends in the jazz world coming together, which results in nearly 60 songs that are all spectacular. Unfortunately having to listen to the entire collection at once made it much less enjoyable, as it is so long, which made the experience closer to a three, but I think the album itself is really a 4

Harvest by Neil Young

Pretzel Logic by Steely Dan
Oct 23 2025

Great recording, super groovy with a lot of interesting sounds. Super consistent, every song is equally good

Blue Lines by Massive Attack
Oct 24 2025

Pretty groovy, with all of the sounds being really good. but honestly kind of boring and a lot of the songs sound the same

The White Album by Beatles
Oct 27 2025

Kind of a hard album to rank, it feels bloated with a lot of songs that weren’t very good and could have been scratched, but then it also has some of the best songs the Beatles ever made, so overall I feel like it deserves a 4

Crosby, Stills & Nash by Crosby, Stills & Nash
Oct 28 2025

Great harmonies, a lot of the songs felt very similar and I didn’t love all of the songwriting

There were some parts of the production that I thought were pretty good, and I could hear some things that sounded like they inspired Radiohead that I enjoyed. It didn’t save the album though, I disliked most of the lyrics and melodies, and I cannot stand morrissey’s voice.

Wonderful Rainbow by Lightning Bolt
Oct 31 2025

I gave it an honest shot, but it was a very challenging album to get through, and I found myself hoping it would be over the entire time. there was some interesting musical ideas buried inside, but the album just isn’t my thing.

Tonight's The Night by Neil Young
Nov 02 2025

The vocals were hard to listen to, the instrumentation was boring, and the songs felt weak, it did get better near the end though, which saved it from 1 star.

S.F. Sorrow by The Pretty Things
Nov 03 2025

I felt the album was kind of boring, and didn’t feel special in any way. Nothing was really bad, but it never caught my interest.

OK Computer by Radiohead
Nov 04 2025

One of the greatest albums of all time. Every song is so beautiful and interesting, and they come together in an album with such a unique sound that you don’t really get in many others.

At Fillmore East by The Allman Brothers Band
Nov 05 2025

The allman brothers are great musicians, and there’s a lot of great stuff on the album, but the songs just drag on a little too much. There might be times where this would be a 4 for me, but at least this listen it was a strong 3.
