the starting feels like what Bad tripping feels like. after the first 2 songs, the mood went slightly better. not my cup of tea per say, but this album has its charm and I'm glad that i gave album a listen. it's a fucked up version of matrix where there is no red or blue pill, but drug overdose but then it just suddenly goes sunny. I get it.
the classic of american Hip hop culture changing album. not into Rap but you have to appreciate the natural and real sound that belongs to their background. Actual real people doing the things they said.
tbh nirvana is a phase for me even tho it's not for a million people out there. The composition of nirvana is not timeless as i think it is. the Recording is something else, neutral sounding and the room capture is on point.
This album has always been the ALBUM people should listen to. truly an outstanding album.
this is my First time listening to Iggy pop ever!. as a first time listener i now understand who his name are one of those names you know remember but you don't know who is the person behind it. Iggy pop style truly express the American sound. the high energy on almost a punk rock but above rock. somehow feels like a post-punk rendition from someone who didn't listen to post punk. but i cannot give a 5 star due to i feel like im not really mind blown by this and listen to this every day. just a good album to discover
after listening to this album 4 times...my thought on it is just meh. out off 12 songs, only 2 songs that i get it. not as influential as people thought it is, it is just another style that people did in her era
rock and roll. but something special i feel from this. The recordings are nicely done. Guitar sounds Sonic and sharp, slightly overdriven. The composition is also nice. There is a lot of Post-punk sound that someone can make out off this album. The minimalistic style funk made it punk and the unique vocal style almost punk style. I highly rate this album, not everyday you stumble upon an album that you like after just first time listening.
the album did it's job at pissing people off. Truly Punk at heart, Anti-ART like how swans earlier days and Glenn Branca + british punk sounds. Not for the faint of heart. Truly Outstanding!!! my forth time repeating the whole album again.
Elliot smith has always been the voice for the sad boy era globally. this album in particular is what i mean by it. Recording wise, this album is okay but its not as the album elliott smith elliott smith. but this album is still emotional. Elliott smith is a phenomenal writer ever even if most people does not care about his song.
War on Drugs is a well known name. post rock/rockNroll sounding musicwith multiple instruments blend in. melody driven and dreamy, honestly their music is dragging. for your information i listen to Long music. Earth2, SunnO, Drose, khanate, boris, mono and Swans. overall wise War on Drugs is the hippie version of Mogwai with to much Pink Floyd influence.
didnt know they have a more raw sounding sound, this is the first time i gave this album a proper listen. overall its a beatles album, but recroding is superb
The starting of tis album makes me wonder if this Kendrick is influenced differently because this album sounds really funny, as the songs goes on through out the album it feels more Kendrick. i like it but not love it.
Not to be rude or mean but American music in this era is a like a stagnant time like how music is in this era 2019-2025. Not like it's bad, it's just that it's shallow.
not really a fan of this david bowie but still okay
it shows me emotionional feelings that i didnt know i can feel
