Track 1, very Indie. Not really for me, but nice vocals in the quiet bits.
Track 2, still not for me. Again, nice voice in the quieter talking parts
Track 3, ok... Maybe getting somewhere!
Track 4, alright, alright... Hold on. Not walking away just yet!
Track 5, niiice.
Track 6, wtf! :(
Track 7, sounds like Radiohead but I like it :) and it makes my head wobble π
Track 8, good and bring in 9 π€
Track 9, indeed! But 8 happened non the less π
Track 10, rocking chick knows love π Best lyrics so far. And best song?
Track 11, thank you for some peace and quiet π€« Love the haunting voice here! Going slightly Bjork too, huh? βΊοΈ Will there be a 12?
Track 12, worth the wait, awesome story telling best vocals up to now. Breathing high in the airy highs!
3.5*
4.5* for the top 3 songs
Edit: after a few more listenings... ****
1. Yeah yeah we have hits... Still same ol', same ol' - with the utmost respect π
2. We're lost in music πΆπ Bring on number 3 I say!
3. Gentle, friendly, nice production π Could've been a good minute shorter though
4. Funky 70s guitars, add bongo π I like the stereo imaging. But again, a tat too long in playing time...
5. Heeey we know this one too! Repetition is key, again π Next song, Lord, please... Next!!
6. Did anything happen? I wasn't paying attention.
7. A story about friends, I suppose. Everyone is doing a great job, it's just hard to keep paying attention. You understand? βΊοΈ
Why the frack am I even listening to this sheit?? How's this dribble in the top 500 best rock albums ever?? Has everyone lost their collective marbles?? Walk away while you can, nothing to be gotten here...
PS: I dig love (2014, remastered edition, cd2), has nice stereo imaging. Still not great though π
PS: in regards to track 21, isn't it a pity, the answer is: yes, indeed, for there are 6 more tracks to get through. I hope mister Harrison doesn't quit his day job ππ
Edit; 27, frack! Out of the blue I really dig a track here! Finally.
Big surprise, another 70s album and you know what? I like it. It's interesting and creative, showing off what they are known for, and showing off what they are looking forward too. Solid 4* rating.
I feel there must be more to life than albums from the 70s? Sigh. But okay... here we go! Apparently 1 and 2 were major hits. But I started to appreciate the sound of this album more in the 3rd track. That track has its typical pitfalls, but there's something extra to be heard here. Tracks 4, 5 and 9: someone is getting annoyed by being a woman in the 70s... I feel ya', sis! And I do like track 6. 7 needs no mentioning. Some songs are rightful classics and I'm all theeeere for it ;-)
The album's title song grabbed my attention once more. And 12... ah yes... 12! 12, you make me feel, you make me feel, you make me feel like a natural person π«
13: out in the cold... someone has been a bitch, no? :) Filler song otherwise.
14. Smackwater... Jack's got me moving but not an instant hit or anything :) I wouldn't have minded being there, back in the day.
Guess the decade!! Another 70s album...
Ok, I do know track 1 and loved it in trainspotting βΊοΈ At one point you can't help but wonder if they all forgot the lyrics. No worry, they'll remember them before the song's end.
Track 2. Sweet? Nothing sweet about the sound here. Not for me.
Track 3. More 70s music. So edgy! π₯±
Track 4. A hard classic.
Track 6: I appreciate everyone trying their bestest.
Track 7: ah, a nice, relatable intro at last! Sweet :) Solid song if you give it time.
Contrary to track 8, which is anything but sweet.
9... We've all been there I suppose? π¬
Oh what a surprise, another 70s rock album.
Mediocre music that fits right in with the 70s. I'm sure this album had a major influence on life, universe and everything else - but I don't see it
Track 13 is something to watch out for, detectives or not. For track 22, you indeed may call me. And yes, finally! In 25 we can hear a melody, and I know it is right π§‘
