Every Picture Tells A Story
Rod Stewart
Every Picture Tells A Story - Pretty mid opener and title track. Although, repetitive lyricism. Even if Rod's voice suits the instrumentation, like... how many times do you need to say "every picture tells a story", Rod?? 3/10
Seems Like A Long Time - HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU NEED TO SAY THE TITLE??? Meh all over, honestly. Repetitive, even if there's a solid backing track there. 3/10
That's All Right - Again, repetitive lyrics. Can we get a shorter version too? 6 minutes for a song like this doesn't exactly fit either. Amazing Grace ending. 3/10
Tomorrow Is A Long Time - The three word phrase "A Long Time" returns for more usage. Not much else to note. 3/10
Maggie May - I'm gonna hurt a lot of people with this rating. 2/10
Mandolin Wind - Boring for a while. That ending's okay though. 4/10
(I Know) I'm Losing You - Now THIS. This is good. Very solid piano playing, good drums and decent lyrics! What was the point in that middle humming bit though? 5/10
(Find A) Reason To Believe - It's okay? I guess? 4/10

Tracy Chapman
Tracy Chapman
Talkin' Bout A Revolution - Good opener. Solid lyrics. WAY WAY better than the last album already! 7/10
Fast Car - Amazing lyricism, well thought-out yet simple. Very very good and well worth the amount of listens (over 1 billion!!) 8/10
Across The Lines - LOVE this instrumental! The message is heart-wrenching and desolate, with anti-racist themes across the track. Chapman creates a great atmosphere here. 9/10
Mountains O' Things - No words except "great track" 8/10
Baby Can I Hold You - ??? Why is this album so god damn good... amazing song. 9/10
Why? - Wow. 10/10
For My Lover - This is getting repetitive just saying it. 8/10
If Not Now... - Wow... 9/10
For You - So simple, yet so emotional. Love it. 7/10

Debut
Björk
Human Behaviour - It's okay? I don't mind it. Reminiscent of Gorillaz's debut. 6/10
Crying - Now this I dislike. Very odd sounding, eerie almost. But I just can't get behind the piano or her vocals. 4/10
Venus As A Boy - Ew... 1/10
There's More to Life Than This (Live at the Milk Bar Toilets) - Why is it live? Also, why is there just... no substance... 2/10
Someone In Love - I like the harp I guess? 5/10
Big Time Sensuality - Almost hilariously bad. 1/10
One Day - MID 3/10
Aeroplane - ??? 1/10
Come To Me - I like this one actually. 6/10
Violently Happy - Unironically? I give up. 2/10
The Anchor Song 0/10

The Cars
The Cars
Good Times Roll - Solid enough to warrant a headbop. 7/10
My Best Friend's Girl - This is a vibe! I love the guitar work, and the vocals suit extremely well. 8/10
Just What I Needed - Good! I love the synths in the instrumental break, almost reminds me of Weezer's "I Just Threw Out The Love of My Dreams". 8/10
I'm In Touch With Your World - I don't mind this. Vibey yet eccentric. 6/10
Don't Cha Stop - How is this the second least listened to track? It fuckin' HITS!! - 9/10
You've All I've Got Tonight - Yes!! Genuinely amazing, at a loss for words rn lmao 9/10
Bye Bye Love - VERY solid. Not as good as the 9s on the record, but still incredibly INCREDIBLY well done. 8/10
Moving In Stereo - I fuck with this so much. It's very very good. 9/10
All Mixed Up - Takes a little long to build up but I do enjoy it! 7/10
ALL IN ALL: A very very timeless record. Ahead of its time in many regards.

The Fat Of The Land
The Prodigy
Smack My Bitch Up - It's alright, not exactly going to be my genre but solid for what it is. Also, dislike the lyrical concept. 5/10
Breathe - This is up my alley a bit more. Liking the bass and vocal lines, and the drums fit in nicely. 6/10
Diesel Power - LOVE the rap on this. Energetic yet simple, and good! 8/10
Funky Shit - Not much to comment about on this record, eh? 6/10
Serial Thrilla - I just love the accent man. 6/10
Mindfields - This a vibe. 7/10
Narayan - This one's one of the best so far. Like the vocals, instrumental goes hard too! Incredible until you realise it's 9 minutes long. 7/10
Firestarter - Already know this track relatively well. Solid, solid, solid. 8/10
Climbatize - Not half bad. Like the composition and the little shaker drum thing. 6/10
Fuel My Fire - I like this one. Not much to say elsewhere. 7/10

Songs From The Big Chair
Tears For Fears
Shout - Very very good opener. A tad long for what it is though. 8/10
The Working Hour - Quite the vibe. 8/10
Everybody Wants To Rule The World - One of my favourite songs a kid and it still holds the hell up. Actual banger. Love that little guitar riff in the instrumental breaks so much! 10/10
Mothers Talk - Pure 80s. Love the synthesisers on this track, and the bass too. 8/10
I Believe - :ResidentSleeper: Not my cup of tea vocally. Still solid enough to warrant a mediocre rating. 6/10
Broken - Now THIS is more like it. Raring to start with that drum fill intro, and then into solid guitar and bass work. 10/10
Head Over Heels - Love the vocals on this one! Very good, and just a general good vibe. Love the solo too! 9/10
Listen - I don’t get why it’s mostly in Spanish without much substance, but I fuck with it mostly. 7/10
