american dream by LCD Soundsystem
Nov 03 2025

Not a good album, I understand its electronic, but the beats sound very samey like a 5 second clip that is repeated until the end. The lyrics are just there for the sake of it too. Complete one and done, I dont even see this as an album that does its job well at all, at a party? Who would spin anything from here.

Tidal by Fiona Apple
Nov 04 2025

I like the instruments, especially the piano. The production was great throughout but as for the singer’s voice…not a fan tbh. Too deep for what the lyrics and music is asking for. But there were some tunes I thought were all right. Namely 'Sleep to Dream' and 'Shadowboxer'.

Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon & Garfunkel
Nov 05 2025

The sound felt very dated, and none of the songs in particular stood out. Not worth re-listening, however the voices were good.

The Köln Concert by Keith Jarrett

Nice tunes, good background music. But it’s not something I’d ever go back to kinda the nature with these unless they really hit.

What more could one say about this album? It’s a masterpiece from start to finish. West puts on full display everything people love and hate about him - it’s as close as you can get to stepping inside his megalomaniacal mind. If hubris could sum itself up, it would choose this album. The only song that doesn’t land for me is Blame Game, and Hell of a Life only barely passes. Gorgeous is my favourite off this track. But everything else is phenomenal. The production is bombastic and replete, every beat is a killer and almost everyone (excluding Hov) brings their A-game here. This is one of the greatest rap albums ever made and easily one of my top five favourites in the genre. I didn’t expect to hit it so early in the 1001 list, but oh well, now the question is whether anything else can knock it off from the #1 spot.

Aftermath by The Rolling Stones
Nov 11 2025

mick jagger is a fking weirdo. feels like he's shouting whatever into the mic, complete separation between the music and singer here... as for the rest of this album, its a basic rock sound which is expected given the year of release and so it feels stale, its no fault of the album that time has led to much better sounds and innovations within the genre, but it has made this album feel obsolete. the lyrics range from mediocre to downright bad as stated above. now as for the instrumentals themselves, i found it alright, i liked the guitar and the drums overall the production for its time was good. but again, i dont see a reason to go back to this. its the first stones album ive listened to from start to finish, but my view on these guys remains the same so far..i dont get their popularity.

Nixon by Lambchop
Nov 12 2025

This sucked and the singer’s voice creeps me out. The whole production has been muted just so that one could hear him and it’s not a pleasant one. I can’t even tell you a single thing I liked about it. That’s how terrible this was. Baffled it’s on this list.

Lost In The Dream by The War On Drugs
Nov 14 2025

The first song was good, and the rest kinda blended into one another. I might go back to this, but overall i remember thinking slightly positive on it.
